In some implementations, documents can be presented on a display of a computing device based on a context of the computing device. The context can include a current time and/or current location associated with the computing device. The documents can be presented based on a time and/or location associated with the documents. Documents can be downloaded and shared between devices. Documents can be dynamically updated based on document vendor provided information and/or other network based resources. In some implementations, the various graphical interfaces described herein provide access to a variety of document types in an organized and efficient manner.

Methods for sharing user-configurable graphical constructs, e.g., for use with a portable multifunction device, are disclosed. The methods described herein allow for sharing user-configurable graphical constructs that contain independently configurable graphical elements and graphical assets. Systems and methods are disclosed for displaying notifications received from multiple applications. In some embodiments, an electronic device can monitor notifications that are received from the multiple applications. Responsive to receiving the notifications, the electronic device can control the manner in which the notifications are displayed while the device is operating in a locked or an unlocked state. In some embodiments, the electronic device can allow users to customize how notifications are to be displayed while the device is in the locked and/or unlocked states.

Systems and methods for displaying notifications received from multiple applications

Systems, methods, and devices can efficiently manage the displaying of text on a screen of a computing device. For example, a client application can provide a data object for a particular style window on the screen. The data object can include a data item, comprising text data, one or more units specifying one or more portions of the text data to be displayed in the style window, and an identifier corresponding to a particular display function to be used in displaying the text data. The display function can be invoked to determine a potential text string to display based on the text data, the one or more units, and one or more rules corresponding to the particular display function. Additional text strings can be generated to obtain a text string that is shorter than or equal to a maximum length for the data item.

API for specifying display of complication on an electronic watch

Systems, methods, and computer-readable medium are provided for managing user information. For example, instructions for implementing a background process configured to manage a first set of data types may be received from a service provider. A data download that includes information about the new data type may also be received from the service provider. A request to access data corresponding to the new data type may be received from an application. Additionally, in some examples, the data corresponding to the new data type may be provided to the application based at least in part on interpreting the data download.

Certain embodiments of the present invention can detect and evaluate new messages at a coordinating device to determine whether to forward the message to a wearable device. In this manner, a server can reduce a number of devices that it is to communicate a message to, while still allowing the message to be availed to multiple devices. Further, certain embodiments relate to coordinating alerts (e.g., audio or haptic alerts) to reduce redundant alerts of a single message amongst spatially clustered devices.
