A display unit includes a layer with a plurality of sub-regions which are arranged adjacently to one another along an illuminated edge of the layer. A corresponding number of symbols are arranged in the sub-regions. The display unit additionally has a plurality of light sources. The said light sources are arranged adjacently to one another along the illuminated edge of the layer. Each light source is configured to emit light into the respective sub-region of the layer via the illuminated edge of the layer. The display unit additionally has a limiting element which is arranged between the illuminated edge of the layer and the light sources and which is configured to limit the light emitted from the light sources for each sub-region such that the symbol in the respective sub-region is illuminated in a selective manner by the light sources.

Display unit with changing symbols

A system performs image stabilization of a display in a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle. The system includes at least one display, in particular a monitor, for visualization; at least one sensor, in particular an acceleration sensor; and a computer unit, in particular an on-board computer. The system is designed to detect, by way of the sensor, a shock to the vehicle, in particular as a result of unevenness of the roadway, and to carry out on the basis thereof, a compensation calculation by use of the computer unit and to output a correction signal to the display, in order to stabilize the visualization on the display.

System for performing image stabilization of a display in a vehicle

A system for the exact detection of the fatigue of a driver of a vehicle includes at least one camera for detecting the pupil diameter of the driver of the vehicle, at least one sensor for detecting a current luminance in the vehicle, and at least one computer module for detecting the fatigue of the driver of the vehicle by calculation. The calculation is based on the detected pupil diameter and the detected, current luminance in the vehicle.
