Methods and systems for efficient caching and retrieval of responses in conversation service applications includes a server that captures an utterance and converts the utterance into an utterance index key. The server searches a first response cache to determine whether the utterance index key matches a response index key. When there is a match, the server transmits a response that matches the utterance index key to a client device. When there is not a match, the server converts the utterance into an utterance embedding and searches a second response cache to identify a response embedding. The server captures a fuzzy response index key associated with the closest matching response embedding and searches the first response cache to identify a response index key that matches the fuzzy response index key.

Efficient caching and retrieval of responses in conversation service application communication sessions

Various implementations include headphone systems configured to adapt to changes in user environment. In some particular cases, a headphone system includes at least one headphone including an acoustic transducer having a sound-radiating surface for providing an audio output; a sensor system configured to detect an environmental condition proximate the at least one headphone; and a control system coupled with the at least one headphone and the sensor system, the control system configured to: receive data about the environmental condition from the sensor system; and modify the audio output at the at least one headphone in response to a change in the environmental condition, wherein the audio output includes a continuous audio output provided across a transition between environmental conditions and is configured to vary with the change in the environmental condition.

Adaptive headphone system

Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques, including devices and system implementing the techniques, to provide feedback to a user of an event when the user is wearing a wearable device. For example, the wearable device may provide high quality noise canceling audio playback to the user, lowering the user's situation awareness. The techniques include measuring ambient sound using two or more microphones on the wearable device. The event is determined based on the measured ambient sound. A location attribute of the event is determined. A deep learning algorithm may be used to identify the nature and/or classification of the event and rule out events that the user prefers to ignore. Upon determining the event that merits the user's attention, the user is provided feedback of the determined event and the location attribute, the feedback indicating the nature and location of the event.

Hearing augmentation and wearable system with localized feedback

The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for the creation of a localized audio message for use in a personal audio device. The system includes: a database of information relating to a pre-determined subject obtained from online media content; one or more processors; and a personal audio device configured to receive a localized audio message. The processors extract a dataset comprising information relating to a pre-determined subject from online media content; generate one or more summaries of the information relating to the pre-determined subject; generate a localized audio message based on the one or more summaries; and send the localized audio message to a personal audio device of a user.

Various implementations include audio systems for controlling audio feedback to user requests. In some particular cases, a headphone system includes at least one headphone including an acoustic transducer having a sound-radiating surface for providing an audio output; at least one microphone for receiving an audio input from a user; and a control system including a recommendation engine, the control system coupled with the at least one headphone and the at least one microphone, the recommendation engine configured to: analyze the audio input for a non-specific request from the user; and provide an audio sample to the user along with a prompt for feedback about the audio sample in response to the non-specific request.
