A system includes a gateway and a verification server. The gateway is configured to receive a first message from a client over a network; send a request to a verification server to generate a first credential based on the first message; and route the first message toward a remote device. The verification server is configured to receive the request from the gateway; generate the first credential in response to the request; store the first credential; receive a second message from the remote device, the message requesting the verification server to validate a second credential; determine whether the second credential is valid based on the first credential; and send a notification to the remote device indicating whether the second credential is valid.

Verifying an identity of a message sender

A network device receives a message that identifies a relationship between a wireless user device and a client device, the relationship allowing text messages, intended for the wireless user device, to be sent to the client device. The network device stores the information identifying the relationship. The network device receives a text message intended for the wireless user device. The network device determines to send the text message to the client device, based on the information identifying the relationship stored by the network device; and the network device sends the text message to the client device for display on a display device associated with the client device.

Sending text messages to multiple devices using a joint services account

The text of an incoming message may be scanned for language that matches in whole or in part the name of a stored contact and/or information indicative of a stored location. Each identified instance of language may be converted into a link. When actuated, the link may initiate an action relating to the information to which the identified language was matched, such as to call or send an email to a matching contact or to show a map of or navigating instructions to the location indicated by matching location language. When the identified language matches multiple contacts or is indicative of multiple locations, actuation of the link may result in the display of a menu of all of the matches so that the desired one can be selected. A list of possible actions may also be provided.

Automated conversion of contact names and locations in incoming messages into action links

This disclosure details the implementation of methods, systems and computer program products for a mobile data feed distributor (hereinafter, 'Distributor'). Distributor embodiments may serve to facilitate users' selection of data feeds of interest and the provision of data feed data to mobile devices. In one embodiment, the Distributor may acquire and/or validate user preferences with respect to available data feeds, store those preferences, and subsequently direct the provision of data feed updates to a user's mobile device via short message service (SMS) text messages, multimedia messaging service (MMS) picture alerts, and/or the like. User preferences may include selections of data feed sources, designations of update messaging restrictions, and/or the like.
