A shoe with an integrally attached pivoting heel. The pivoting heel would rock back and forth between a pivot position and a flat position as a wearer of the shoe walks. The pivoting heel can have an upper plate connected to a lower plate via a rod, wherein the upper plate can rotate about the rod relative to the lower plate (or vice-versa). The pivoting heel can provide the wearer with more stability while the user walks and can help prevent slipping and falling.

An assisted standing and walking device for a user with at least one side paralysis or weakness is provided with provisions for assisted transitioning of the user from a seated position to a standing position prior to walking in the assisted standing and walking device with user friendly attachment and release with controlled limitation of lateral gait movement that occurs in lateral walking gait motion.

A height adjustable, resting position unipod yoga body support prop is provided with an adjustable length multi-section leg attached at opposing ends to an upper platform for contact with a body part of a yoga user and an arcuate shaped base surface for a degree of forward and backward positioning adjustment of the yoga user when positioned on the upper platform. The unipod leg is adjustable in height to assist in assuming various yoga positions with the yoga prop. The upper platform, leg and base of the yoga prop can be disassembled for transportation and storage.

Gait analysis systems are provided with body support systems for user's self-adjustment of body weight force when ambulating with the body support systems. The gait analysis systems with the body support systems can be used with a treadmill or over a fixed surface for gait training and analysis with the ability to adjust the user's body weight force during the collection of gait data. Gait data for analysis is collected by an array of sensors mounted on the body support systems in various combinations for sensing gait movement, video imaging, heel strike and toe off states, video processing, feet pressure maps and electromyography.

A treadmill body support apparatus is provided to assist users in standing, walking and running on a treadmill surface and exercising safely on the treadmill surface with freedom of vertical and lateral gait movement. The treadmill body support apparatus can be used by disabled and impaired users that require movement of the user to and from the treadmill surface from a mobility aid such as a wheelchair and adjustable weight-bearing support and balance support while exercising safely on the treadmill surface with freedom of vertical and lateral gait movement.

A sit down and stand up walker for assisting a user during walking and when not walking in a standing, partially standing or sitting positions with partial or full weight bearing support and with means to change from standing, partially standing to sitting positions with partial weight bearing support to a fixed elevation with full weight bearing support in any varied or repeated sequence. The partial or full weight bearing means supports a seat assembly which includes a seat and front body support with adjustable positioning to provide pelvic stability. The angle of the seat assembly relative to a flat ground surface is maintained at any elevation of the seat assembly between a standing and sitting position. The weight bearing means is responsive to the variable force supplied by the user as the user walks, stands or sits allowing the seat assembly to move up or down. The weight bearing means in a preferred embodiment is an enclosed gas spring cylinder with piston rod that can be locked at differing elevations or released to respond to a user's body force as the user walks, stands or sits. The walker is intended to be moved without the user's hands holding onto the frame thereby promoting a normal gait and posture. The walker enables the user to expend less energy as the body's center of gravity with partial or full weight bearing support rises and falls with each stride. The walker facilitates transfers from a sitting to standing positions and vice versa by the user independently without the intervention of caregivers.

A new and improved electrical connector is provided for Ball Grid Array (BGA) devices and Direct Chip Attach (DCA) devices that solves the prior art problems of mismatch in the coefficient of thermal between a semiconductor die and its substrate, PC board or carrier. The electrical connector consists of a resilient loop of wire that is permanently wire bonded at a first and a second bond position to an electrode or contact pad of a die or an interposer. The closed loop of wire is stable in the X and Y direction and resilient in the Z direction which enables the wire bonded die or interposer to be temporarily attached to a carrier or test board for all forms of tests as well as being removable and reworkable even after being permanently soldered in place on a substrate or PC board. Since the loop shaped connectors are resilient in X, Y and Z directions, the die or interposer may be clamped onto a PC board or substrate to provide a lead free electrical connection that does not require any underfill. The loop size may be made with highly conductive and/or plated (coated) wire in sizes from about 2.5 mils diameter up to about 30 mils using wire having a diameter of about 1.0 mils up to 5.0 mils to replace prior art balls used on pads of about 3 mils size or greater.

A stand up walker for supporting body weight in a standing position with a pair of upper lift arms pivotally mounted on a walker frame and having lift spring mounted on the walker frame. In the preferred embodiment a pair of lift springs comprise gas springs for asserting a lifting force to the body by a body seat and harness coupled to the upper lift arms. However, the upper lift arms may be provided with resilient handles that apply the lifting force under the armpits or a combination of lifting forces may be employed.

An apparatus and method for high speed, reliable and repeatable delivery and reflow of solder material onto a substrate are disclosed. The apparatus has a repositionable capillary to direct individual solder material to a specific location on the substrate. An energy source is directed through the capillary onto the solder to reflow the solder to the substrate. The apparatus provides for individual introduction of the solder material into the capillary and urging of the solder material from a reservoir to the capillary while preventing unintended jams and blockage of the solder material.
