A control system of an elevator can be communicated with by a mobile control device to execute a maintenance and/or installation for the elevator. The control system includes a receiving element for receiving a request to establish a communication connection from the mobile control device, at least one processor to perform a first identification whether the mobile control device is authorized to communicate with the elevator, the at least one processor to perform a second identification whether a user of the mobile control device is authorized for using this mobile control device and/or for servicing this elevator, the at least one processor for matching a right of access of the mobile control device to the elevator depending on results of the first and the second identification, and a communication element to establish the requested communication connection according the matched right of access of the mobile control device.

Configuring accessing right to elevator control system

A method for operating an elevator installation uses an elevator control device, wherein, by at least one sensor allocated to the elevator installation and by a sensor signal obtainable therefrom, a state of the elevator installation is automatically detected by the elevator control device. In dependence on the detected state, the elevator control device automatically generates an activation signal to automatically activate a remote signaling element.

Method for operating an elevator system and an elevator control device operating in accordance with the method

An elevator system includes an elevator car carrier moveable in a travel space to a plurality of floors. The elevator car carrier has a first elevator car and a second elevator car adjustably arranged thereon, as well as a drive unit. An adjustment device includes a first traction device and a second traction device, which traction devices are wound in the opposite sense onto drums of the drive unit. The distance between the first elevator car and the second elevator car can be adjusted by a rotation of the drums to adapt to varying floor distances.

Elevator system

An elevator has an elevator car supporting frame that can travel in a travel space provided for a journey of the elevator car supporting frame. The elevator installation is also provided with a first elevator car and a second elevator car arranged on the elevator car supporting frame. Furthermore, a hydraulic moving element is arranged in a lower end region of the travel space. In this way, the first elevator car can be moved in relation to the second elevator car, by the moving device, in the lower end region of the travel space.

Double-decker lift installation

An elevator installation includes an elevator cage carrier movable in a travel space provided for travel of the elevator cage carrier. Moreover, a first elevator cage and a second elevator cage are adjustably arranged at the elevator cage carrier and a drive unit arranged at the elevator cage carrier. In addition, an adjusting device with a first traction means and a second traction means guided in opposite directions around a drive roller, drivable by the drive unit, is provided. In that case the spacing between the first elevator cage and the second elevator cage is adjustable by movement of the elevator cages in opposite directions. An adaptation to different story spacings is thereby possible.

Elevator installation

The present invention provides a method and apparatus for thermally protecting an electromagnetic actuator used to suppress vibrations in an elevator installation. The apparatus includes a temperature evaluation unit that determines an actual temperature of the actuator on the basis of a signal proportional to a current supplied to the actuator. A limiter restricts the current supplied to the actuator if the actual temperature of the actuator as determined by the temperature evaluation unit is greater than a predetermined temperature.

Thermal protection of electromagnetic actuators

The present invention automatically detects the onset of instability of an elevator active ride control system and activates a system shutdown if it occurs. As an elevator car is guided along rails by guide elements, a plurality of sensors mounted on the car measure vibration transverse to a direction of travel. The signals from the sensors are input to a controller which in turn produces a controller output signal. This signal is used to energize an actuator positioned between the car and the guide elements and thereby dampen the vibrations acting on the car. As instability sets in, a controller signal increases. The controller signal is monitored by a comparator such that the actuator is deactivated if the controller signal becomes greater than a predetermined value.

Elevator vibration damping apparatus and method

An improved equipment and method for reducing vibrations of a lift cage is intended for use in lifts of the type having a lift cage is intended for use in lifts of the type having a lift cage guided along rails in which a sensor for detecting positional changes of the lift cage and/or lift cage accelerations is coupled to a regulator which in turn controls an actuator for changing the position of the lift cage relative to the rails. An output signal developed by the regulator is limited to a maximum value for the setting signal to be sent to the actuator. A difference between the regulator output and the limited output is computed and fed to the regulator as an additional input. The regulator is constructed in such a manner that the difference fed back to the regulator remains as small as possible. This improves response of the vibration inducing equipment.

Equipment and method for vibration damping of a lift cage

Equipment for reducing vibrations of a lift cage guided at rails comprises a plurality of guide elements for guiding the lift cage along the rails, a sensor for detecting positional changes of the lift cage and/or of accelerations occurring at the lift cage, an actuator arranged between the lift cage and the guide elements and a regulating device which, on the basis of the values transmitted by the sensor, controls the actuator for changing the position of the cage relative to the rails. The regulating device has an amplification which is variable in dependence on the vertical speed of the lift cage. The amplification of the regulating device is continuously raised after activation of the regulating device and continuously lowered after switching-off of the regulating device.

Equipment for vibration damping of a lift cage

A device for monitoring an elevator area utilizes a three-dimensional semiconductor sensor for detecting three-dimensional image information. The sensor includes a light source that is mounted so that the elevator area to be monitored is disposed in the illuminated area of the light source, a sensor group that is mounted in such a manner that it receives reflected light, and a processing chip for converting the electrical signals into image information. In addition, the device includes a processing device that is connected with the semiconductor sensor in order to make available three-dimensional image information. The processing device processes the image information in order to obtain state information representing the state of the elevator area to be monitored.

Three-dimensional monitoring in the area of an elevator by means of a three-dimensional sensor

An apparatus and a method for monitoring an elevator door include a sensor for detecting three-dimensional image information. Processing equipment evaluates the image information of detected images to recognize a deviation between two images and trigger a situation-adapted reaction. The sensor includes a light source mounted in the region of the elevator door so that the elevator door is disposed at least partly in the illuminated region of the light source. In addition, the sensor includes a sensor group mounted so that it receives light reflected from the door.
