Various configurations and methods for providing a secure transfer of data from computing device sensors to a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) are disclosed. As disclosed, various data flows, data sequences, and configurations are provided to allow sensor data to maintain integrity and confidentiality while being accessed by trusted agents of a TEE. In an example, a microcontroller-based TEE is operated to communicate with a sensor hub via a secure hardware channel. The microcontroller-based TEE is configured to receive the sensor data via the secure hardware channel, and communicate the sensor data to other trusted agents in the computing system via secure communications. Other variations of secure communications among multiple sensors, trusted agents, TEEs, and third party services are also disclosed.

Securely routing sensor data from sensors to a trusted execution environment (TEE)

The disclosure generally relates to a method and apparatus for using a location token to locate a mobile device in a mapped environment. In one embodiment, the disclosure relates to identifying an AP in the environment using an AP location token. By finding a map from a map vendor which has a substantially identical map token, the AP and the map may be matched together. Once the AP is matched to the map, its exact location will be known. The location of a mobile device may be determined in relation to the AP's location. The same process may be used to identify the location of several APs on a map and thereby identify the location of the mobile device relative to the APs.

Method and apparatus for access point location token

Techniques are provided for opportunistic backhauling of data in a deployment of FTM Responder systems. An example FTM Responder may include a backhaul payload processing circuit configured to determine a requirement to transmit a first instance of backhaul data to a first destination device. The FTM Responder may also include an FTM request handler circuit configured to receive a first FTM request from a first mobile station. The FTM Responder may further include an FTM response generation circuit configured to generate an FTM response that includes FTM data responsive to the request and a first backhaul payload message. The first backhaul payload message includes an address of the first destination device and further includes the first instance of backhaul data. The FTM Responder may further include a transceiver circuit configured to transmit the FTM response to the first mobile station. The FTM Responder may be an FTM capable wireless access point (AP).

Opportunistic backhauling of data for fine time measurement (FTM) responder systems

Indoor positioning networks are faced with several challenges. The methods employed by many indoor positioning systems require highly accurate time synchronization. Where many responders must be synchronized together, the accuracy of the time-synchronization can be improved via a synchronization tree that identifies preferable paths to synchronize responders and eliminates ambiguity. Moreover, where absolute location information is available for less than all of the responders, accurate round trip time measurement can be used to obtain the relative locations of the responders to each other. Where the relative locations are known, any absolute location of a responder can be extrapolated to the remaining responders. Finally, with the use of appropriate algorithms, these round trip time measurements can be collected in reference to a device that is stationary or moving.

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of Fine Timing Measurement (FTM). For example, an apparatus may include circuitry and logic configured to cause an initiator station to process an FTM message received from a responder station, the first FTM message comprising a first field comprising a first Message Authentication Code (MAC); to process a second FTM message comprising the first field, a second field, and an FTM time value corresponding to the first FTM message, the first field comprising a second MAC, and the second field comprising the first MAC; and to determine whether or not to use the FTM time value for an FTM measurement, based on an authentication of the responder station according to the second MAC.

Apparatus, system and method of fine timing measurement (FTM)

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of Fine Timing Measurement (FTM). For example, an apparatus may include circuitry and logic configured to cause an initiator station to transmit an FTM request message to a responder station, the FTM request message comprising a challenge token; process an FTM measurement frame received from the responder station, the FTM measurement frame comprising a security token, which is based on the challenge token; and authenticate the responder station based on the security token.

Apparatus, system and method of Fine Timing Measurement (FTM)

Generally discussed herein are systems and apparatuses for managing a plurality of location providers and/or assigning a location provider to provide a location estimate. Also discussed herein are methods of using the systems and apparatuses. According to an example a method may include receiving a location estimate request from one or more location clients, determining, using a power cost heuristic, a power cost of using each of a plurality of location providers in performing a location estimate in accord with the location estimate request, assigning the location estimate request to a location provider of the plurality of location providers associated with a lowest determined power cost, and/or providing the location estimate to the location client.

Methods and devices for determining a location estimate

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of selecting location providers. For example, a location provider (LP) selector to operate in a mobile device may include a memory to store an Accuracy-Power Decision Matrix (APDM), the APDM to provide an allocation of a plurality of LPs according to a plurality of power consumption levels and a plurality of accuracy ranges; and a controller to receive from a location client of the mobile device a location request for a location fix of the mobile device, and to assign to the location request one or more LPs of the plurality of LPs, based on the APDM, an accuracy requirement of the location request, and a power consumption requirement of the location request.

Apparatus, system and method of selecting location providers

A novel and useful apparatus for and method of communicating time related messages between multiple devices wherein each device operates using a different time base. The invention can be applied to multi-mode cellular handsets that implement multiple radio access technologies (RATs). Messages communicated between the RATs are time synchronized using a common time base that is shared among all the RATs in the system. The creation of the shared time base is based on an interrupt signal referred to as a 'sync event'. The interrupt signal is generated by at least one of the devices and received by all the other devices. The local time is stored in a snapshot register and is used by each respective device as the basis to perform conversions between local and common time, common time being the time base that is shared by all the devices in the system. This 'synchronizes' the devices since they all took a snapshot of their respective local timers at substantially the same time.
