Provided is an azole derivative superior in disease-controlling activity contained as an active ingredient in agricultural or horticultural chemical agents. The azole derivative according to the present invention is represented by the following General Formula (I): (in Formula (I), Rrepresents an unsubstituted or substituted C-C-alkyl group;Rrepresents a carbonyl group-containing functional group, wherein the carbon atom in the carbonyl group is bound to the carbon atom in the cyclopentane ring substituted with Rand to a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, R, OR, or NRR;Rand Reach represent a C-C-alkyl group, a C-C-alkenyl group, or a C-C-alkynyl group;Y represents a halogen atom, a C-C-alkyl group, a C-C-haloalkyl group, a C-C-alkoxy group, a C-C-haloalkoxy group, a phenyl group, a cyano group, or a nitro group;m is 0 to 5; andA represents a nitrogen atom or a methine group).

A method of producing an azole derivative according to the invention represented by Formula (XI)  wherein Rdenotes a C-Calkyl group, a C-Calkenyl group or a C-Calkynyl group; Rdenotes a C-Calkyl group; each Y denotes a halogen atom, a C-Calkyl group, a C-Chaloalkyl group, a C-Calkoxy group, a C-Chaloalkoxy group, a phenyl group, a cyano group or a nitro group; and m denotes 0 to 5; when m is 2 or more, each Y may be the same or different. As a result, an azole derivative contained as an active ingredient in an agro-horticultural agent having an excellent controlling effect on diseases can be provided.

An azole derivative according to the invention is represented by Formula (XI) wherein Rdenotes a C-Calkyl group, a C-Calkenyl group or a C-Calkynyl group; Rdenotes a C-Calkyl group; each Y denotes a halogen atom, a C-Calkyl group, a C-Chaloalkyl group, a C-Calkoxy group, a C-Chaloalkoxy group, a phenyl group, a cyano group or a nitro group; and m denotes 0 to 5; when m is 2 or more, each Y may be the same or different.
