A power control apparatus is mounted on an electrically driven vehicle which includes an electrical storage device configured by connecting a plurality of batteries in parallel, a voltage detection unit which detects a voltage of each battery, and a load, and the power control apparatus includes, a voltage deviation calculation unit which is connected to the electrical storage device, and calculates voltage deviation between the plurality of batteries based on the voltage detected by each voltage detection unit at the time of driving the load which is driven by power supply from the electrical storage device, a comparator which compares the voltage deviation calculated by the voltage deviation calculation unit and a first predetermined threshold, and a cutoff detection unit which detects a presence or absence of the battery, which comes into a cutoff state in the electrical storage device, when the voltage deviation is equal to or more than the first threshold in a comparison result by the comparator.

Power control apparatus

A connection structure for a battery module includes a fastening member and a space forming member. The fastening member presses a connecting portion of a bus bar against an electrode of the battery module to fasten the bus bar to the electrode. The space forming member has an elastic member disposed between the connecting portion of the bus bar and the electrode. The space forming member is configured to provide an insulating space between the connecting portion of the bus bar and the electrode. The elastic member is elastically deformed with a pressing force applied from the fastening member to the connecting portion of the bus bar to cancel the insulating space.

A vehicle is described that can efficiently cool or heat a group of components, in view of appropriate operating temperature ranges of respective components configuring a fuel cell power supply system, while realizing saving of a mounting space in the vehicle and cost of the vehicle. The vehicle mounted with a fuel cell power supply system includes at least a fuel cell, and an accumulating unit includes a capacitor and a secondary battery connected to the fuel cell. A motor serves as a power source for the vehicle to which output sections of the fuel cell and the accumulating unit are connected. A PDU provided between the output sections and the motor. A component group of the power supply system, including the fuel cell, the accumulating unit, and the PDU, is cooled by a cooling medium which flows inside the vehicle, in order from one having a lowest heating generation amount.

A vehicle power supply device which prevents a lack of power supply to the motor and insufficient recovery of regenerative electric power of the motor at the time of switching between power running and regeneration. First input-output sections () of a first DC-DC converter () are connected to second input-output sections () of a PDU (), second input-output sections () of the first DC-DC converter () are connected to a fuel cell () and a capacitor (), first input-output sections () of a second DC-DC converter () are connected to second input-output sections () of the PDU (), and second input-output sections () of the second DC-DC converter () are connected to a lithium-ion battery (). A voltage control means () places the first DC-DC converter () or the second DC-DC converter () in a direct connection state and controls an output voltage of the other DC-DC converter according to an output voltage of the DC-DC converter placed in the direct connection state during the power running of the motor () and during regeneration thereof.

A fuel cell power supply device capable of externally supplying electric power in a stable manner is provided. A power supply device for vehicles, output units () thereof are connected to a motor (), includes a fuel cell () which is connected to the output units (), a capacitor () which is connected in parallel to the fuel cell (), a lithium ion battery () which is connected in parallel to the capacitor () through a DC/DC converter (), and a current control means () which limits an output current of the lithium ion battery () to at most an output upper-limit current (Ibout_lmt) when power is supplied to the motor () from the lithium ion battery () during a power running operation of the motor (), and limits an input current into the lithium ion battery () to at most an input upper-limit current smaller than the output upper-limit current (Ibin_lmt) through the DC/DC converter () when regenerative power of the motor () is recovered into the lithium ion battery () during a regenerative operation of the motor ().

Power supply device for vehicles

A vehicle suitable in consideration of each of an electric power supply amount to a motor and a mounting space of a fuel cell or the like is provided. The outputs of a fuel cell and a battery are raised in voltage by a voltage raising device, and electric power of these raised voltages is supplied to a motor. A total output voltage of the fuel cell and the battery, and their total volume can be correspondingly reduced. The total volume of a group is reduced including the fuel cell, the battery and the voltage raising device, and a mounting space of the group in the vehicle. A space of a frame on an upper side of a floor panel and a lower side of a seat in a vehicle interior space can be utilized effectively as the mounting space of the group, without enlarging the space of the frame.

In an electric double-layer capacitor, a solution of a quaternary ammonium borofluoride compound in propylene carbonate is used as an electrolyte. The electrode includes alkali-activated carbon made using meso-phase pitch as a starting material, and a conductive filler having a rest potential smaller than that of the alkali-activated carbon in the electrolyte. The amount Fc of conductive filler incorporated in the electrode is set in a range of 10% by weight&#x2266;Fc&#x2266;40% by weight. Such electric double-layer capacitor has a large electrostatic capacity and excellent durability.
