There is provided a coin diverter that allows increase in the number of coin diversion directions and reduction in the size of a coin handling apparatus. The coin diverter includes a diverter member that diverts a coin from a transport path and a driver that changes the state of the diverter member to any of a first state in which the diverter member leads the coin toward the downstream side of the transport path, a second state in which the diverter member leads the coin in a first direction in which the coin drops from the transport path, and a third state in which the diverter member leads the coin in a second direction different from the direction toward the downstream side of the transport path and the first direction.

A coin feeding apparatus comprising: a disk that includes a plurality of protrusions on a surface of the disk, is disposed to be inclined and rotatable, and, when rotating, causes a first coin or a second coin to be caught on and carried upward by the plurality of protrusions, the second coin having a diameter greater than that of the first coin; a cover that forms, between the cover and a surface of the disk, a space for storing a coin therein; and a separation unit that separates one coin out of two of the first coins from the plurality of protrusions so as to cause the one coin to fall into the space, the two first coins being caught on the plurality of protrusions side by side.

Coin diverter and coin handling apparatus

The present invention provides a coin handling machinewhich can handle a large amount of coins, has a transportation structure which can be simplified, reduced in size and cost, and can reduce the occurrence of trouble such as coin jams. The coin handling machineincludes a depositing and dispensing unitwhich processes depositing and dispensing of coins, and a replenishing and collecting unitwhich replenishes coins to the depositing and dispensing unitand collects coins from the depositing and dispensing unit. The depositing and dispensing unitincludes a depositing and dispensing transport path, a depositing and feeding unit, a plurality of storing and feeding units, and an escrow unit. Each of the depositing and feeding unitand the plurality of storing and feeding unitsincludes a rotary diskwhich rotates at a position inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the horizontal direction, and a hopper which stores coins in an unaligned state on the surface side of the rotary disk. The replenishing and collecting unitincludes an overflow stacking unitand a coin cassette, and includes a replenishment transport pathwhich transports coins fed out from the overflow stacking unitand the coin cassetteto the depositing and dispensing unit

Coin handling machine

A coin depositing and dispensing machine is provided where its transport mechanism is simplified and downsized while coins to be dispensed are subjected to the identifying action. A coin passageis provided in an annular form along which a single annular transporting beltremains supported for transporting the coins. An input feeding portion, denomination-specific accommodating and ejecting portions, a bulk escrow portionare disposed at the inner side of the coin passage. The coin passagehas a receiving and transporting zonefor receiving the coins released from the input feeding portion, the denomination-specific accommodating and ejecting portions, and the bulk escrow portionand a sorting and transporting zonefor sorting and delivering the coins to the input feeding portion, the denomination-specific accommodating and ejecting portions, and the bulk escrow portion. An identifying and transporting zonewhere an identifying portionis disposed is also provided between the receiving and transporting zoneand the sorting and transporting zone. The deposited coins and the dispensing coins can be transported by the single annular transporting belt. As the transport mechanism is arranged for common use between a depositing system and a dispensing system, its construction can thus be simplified and downsized.

Coin depositing and dispensing machine

The present invention provides a coin feeding device in which coin jam can be easily eliminated and coins causing a coin jam can be easily removed. When a coin jam occurs between a transporting beltand a separating roller, the separating rolleris moved by a moving unitin a direction to expand a clearancebetween the separating rollerand the transporting belt. By moving the separating roller, coin jam can be easily eliminated, and coins causing the coin jam can be easily removed.

Coin feeding device

A coin depositing and dispensing machine includes a partition frame arranged in front of a denomination-specific coin accumulating and ejecting portion. A pooling hopper portion and a coin identifying and sorting passage are provided on the front face of the partition frame. The partition frame can be moved between a position at which the denomination-specific coin accumulating and ejecting portion is partitioned from the outside of the machine bodyand a position at which it is exposed to the outside of the machine body. A lock locks the partition frame at a desired partition position. Coins located at pooling hopper portion or coin identifying and sorting passage can be freely accessed, while coins at the denomination-specific coin accumulating and ejecting portion may only be accessed by unlocking the lock. As a result, coins jammed near the pooling hopper portion or coin identifying and sorting passage may be readily cleared.

A coin depositing and dispensing machine prevents a foreign object mixed together with coins put in a coin receiving port from causing a malfunction, facilitates distinguishing coins of a depositing and transporting system from coins of a dispensing and transporting system, and facilitates removal of a coin jam. Coins received from a coin receiving port are fed separately by a feeding unit to a depositing and transporting unit. A rotary disc rotated at a position tilted at a predetermined angle is used for the feeding unit. By using the rotary disc, only coins are fed to the depositing and transporting unit, and foreign objects are eliminated. The depositing and transporting unit and a dispensing and transporting unit are arranged opposite to each other in a machine body, and the depositing and transporting unit is tilted together with the rotary disc. Coins in each unit are thereby easily distinguished from each other.

A compact coin depositing and dispensing machine is provided with a cyclic conveying device. The conveying device conveys, one by one, coins, accepted in a coin acceptance port, in a depositing and conveying direction, and conveys, one by one, coins, to be ejected to a coin ejection port, in a dispensing and conveying direction reverse the depositing and conveying direction. A plurality of accommodating and ejecting units are disposed along the conveying device. Because each accommodating and ejecting unit outputs and inputs coins to and from the conveying device through the same coin outlet/inlet, a depositing and conveying path and a dispensing and conveying path of the conveying device can be arranged as a common path. Each accommodating and ejecting unit accommodates coins in a non-aligned state and ejects accommodated coins one by one to the conveying device.

A cyclic transporting unit is provided. The transporting unit transports coins one by one in reverse directions in depositing and dispensing. A plurality of accommodating and dispensing portions are arranged along the transporting unit. Since coins enter and exit the transporting unit through a single coin inlet/outlet of the accommodating and dispensing portion, a depositing and transporting route and a dispensing and transporting route of the transporting unit can be made common to each other. The accommodating and dispensing portion accommodates coins with the coins not aligned, and dispenses accommodated coins one by one to the transporting unit by a rotary disc and a delivering disc.
