Flexible container comprising several lifting means

A flexible intermediate container has at least one improved lifting loop formed by joining integral extensions of a side wall structures. The extensions are at their upper free ends cut to form at least two flaps which are positioned above or below the extensions on both sides of a folding line or seam, thus forming a lifting loop joint comprising frictional area of overlapping layers of fabric material. Friction therebetween is secured by a frictional agent such 2500 glue or hot-melt and/or by a mechanical device. The lifting loop can be gathered together and surrounded by at least one band or sleeve.

A container includes an outer load carrying bag or container with lifting loop(s) and at least one filling opening, and a liner having two sides closed with welds spaced from the inner side edges to form skirts which allow air in the liner to escape through openings between the welds. The welds are interrupted and overlapped by a distance a, preferably such that 0%&lt;a&lt;50% of the liner's total side length. The liner is placed in the outer container such that the welded seams with the skirts are parallel to the vertical axis of the container and are fastened to side seams thereof. The liner has an opening for filling of bulk material, and it may have a gusset which preferably has a height of up to 1/4 of the flat width of the liner between the welds.

Flexible container with integrated lifting loops having separate cargo

A flexible container for filling, transport and storage of bulk material is made from at least one piece of base material. The bottom of the container is formed from at least four paired, preferably equally large, flaps which are direct extensions of the container side walls. The bottom flaps are formed by cut lines in the piece of material, and the angles .alpha. and .beta. of alternate flaps converge toward the center of the bottom. The sum of top angles .alpha. and .beta. of the flaps is less than 360.degree., such that the container bottom formed by joints of the flaps is downward slightly cone or funnel shaped when the container is filled. The sum of the angles .alpha. and .beta. of the flaps preferably is between (240.degree.-280.degree.) and 360.degree.. The container bottom will be substantially square or rectangular, depending on whether .alpha.=.beta. or .alpha..noteq..beta.. Each of the bottom seams can terminate at a distance from the center of the bottom such that there are no seams in a minor area around the center, and in this area there can be arranged a discharge spout.

Flexible container

Fluidizable material is filled into a container by a simple and safe filling operation enabling the further transport of the filled container to be simplified. A plane during the filling operation and immediately thereafter is adjusted to an angle (y) of at least 2.degree. to the horizontal and a support is adjusted to an angle (X) of at least 2.degree. to the vertical, such that the container leans back against the support when it is filled with fluidizable material and does not slide off the bottom plane even when its lifting loops are released from a holding device. The bottom plane and the support can comprise a unit in which the bottom plane extends at about 90.degree. to the rear wall of the support. The angles x and y can be equal or different and preferred values for these angles are 5.degree.-15.degree..

Method of filling fluidizable material in flexible containers

A reinforced flexible container unit includes a flexible container having an upper section with lifting loops, a filling opening, a container bottom, and a central section formed by side walls extending from the container bottom to the upper section. The central section has a height portion extending upwardly from the container bottom and adapted to be contacted by bulk material when the container is filled with such bulk material. A reinforcing belt or belts are positioned to extend around the entire circumference of the central section of the container at least at a lower portion thereof adjacent the container bottom. The belt or belts have an open lower end and do not cover or enclose the container bottom. The belt or belts have a total width of from one-third of the height portion of the central section of the container equal to the height of such height section.
