A method for audio processing includes receiving a recording of a teleconference among multiple participants over a network, including an audio stream containing speech uttered by the participants and information outside the audio stream. The method further includes processing the audio stream to identify speech segments interspersed with intervals of silence, extracting speaker identifications from the information outside the audio stream in the received recording, labeling a first set of the identified speech segments from the audio stream with the speaker identifications, extracting acoustic features from the speech segments in the first set, learning a correlation between the speaker identifications labelled to the segments in the first set and the extracted acoustic features, and labeling a second set of the identified speech segments using the learned correlation, to indicate the participants who spoke during the speech segments in the second set.

Metadata-based diarization of teleconferences

A method for information processing includes computing, over a corpus of conversations, a conversation structure model including (i) a sequence of conversation parts having a defined order, and (ii) a probabilistic model defining each of the conversation parts. For a given conversation, a segmentation of the conversation is computed based on the computed conversation structure model. Action is taken on the given conversation according to the segmentation.

Unsupervised automated extraction of conversation structure from recorded conversations

A method for audio processing includes receiving, in a computer, a recording of a teleconference among multiple participants over a network including an audio stream containing speech uttered by the participants and conference metadata for controlling a display on video screens viewed by the participants during the teleconference. The audio stream is processed by the computer to identify speech segments, in which one or more of the participants were speaking, interspersed with intervals of silence in the audio stream. The conference metadata are parsed so as to extract speaker identifications, which are indicative of the participants who spoke during successive periods of the teleconference. The teleconference is diarized by labeling the identified speech segments from the audio stream with the speaker identifications extracted from corresponding periods of the teleconference.

A method for information processing includes receiving in a computer a corpus of recorded conversations, with two or more speakers participating in each conversation. Respective frequencies of occurrence of multiple words in each of a plurality of chunks in each of the recorded conversations are computed. Based on the frequencies of occurrence of the words over the conversations in the corpus, an optimal set of topics to which the chunks can be assigned is derived, such that the optimal set maximizes a likelihood that the chunks will be generated by the topics in the set. A recorded conversation from the corpus is segmented using the derived topics into a plurality of segments, such that each segment is classified as belonging to a particular topic in the optimal set.

Unsupervised automated topic detection, segmentation and labeling of conversations

Conference recording is carried out by identifying a virtual conference operated by a conferencing system connected to a communications network. A virtual participant process executing in a processor is registered with the conferencing system as a co-participant in the virtual conference. Information streams produced by the human participants are recorded and distributed with the virtual participant process.

Recording web conferences

A method for displaying information includes identifying computer-readable service code at a service site, which code, when read by a client computer via a network, causes the computer to display at least one service page containing service information. At least a portion of the service code is selected for inclusion in a service component containing at least a portion of the service information that corresponds to the selected code. A pointer is generated, indicating a location at which the service component is accessible, for inclusion of the pointer in host code accessible to the client computer from a host site, which is separate from the service site and is accessible via the network, the host code, when read by the client computer, causing the computer to display a host page containing host information. An invocation of the pointer by the client computer is received at the location when the client computer accesses the host page. The selected service code is then conveyed to the client computer, such that responsive to the selected service code, the client computer displays the service component on the host page.

Dynamic integration of web sites

A method for displaying information includes identifying computer-readable service code at a service site, which code, when read by a client computer via a network, causes the computer to display at least one service page containing service information. Some service code is selected for inclusion in a service component containing at least some service information that corresponds to the selected code. A pointer is generated, indicating a location at which the service component is accessible to a remotely located client computer via the network, allowing the client computer to display a host page containing host information. An invocation of the pointer by the client computer is received at the location when the client computer accesses the host page. The selected service code is then conveyed to the client computer, such that responsive to the selected service code, the client computer displays the service component on the host page.

A method for rendering an animation object, including a plurality of sub-objects, on a display of a client computer under control of a remote server. The method includes transferring from the server to the client, program code which describes a structure of the object, accessing within a local memory associated with the client a program description of at least one of the sub-objects of the object, and displaying the object such that the sub-object is coupled to the structure in accordance with the program code.

Fast transmission of graphic objects

A method for producing an animation sequence on a graphic display driven by a computer, including defining an object that includes a geometrical description of an animated character and characteristics of social behavior of the character and animating an image of the character responsive to the characteristics. The character is programmed with a predetermined response, such as a rule governing motion of the character, to a sensitivity condition occurring externally to the object. The geometrical description of the object includes a geometrical skeleton characterized by a hierarchy of sub-objects connected by joints, the rule governing motion defines motions of the joints.
