A battery voltage monitoring device includes a clock generation circuit; a switch circuit including first and second N-type transistors and first and second P-type transistors of which sources and back gates are connected to each other, with a drain of one of the first N-type transistor and the first P-type transistor connected to the other source, one source connected to a signal input unit, and the other drain connected to a signal output unit, and a source of one of the second N-type transistor and the second P-type transistor connected to the other source, one source connected to a signal input unit, and the other drain connected to a signal output unit; a first generation circuit generating first and second control signals for the first and second P-type transistors, respectively; and a second generation circuit generating third and fourth control signals for the first and second N-type transistors, respectively.

Provided is a low-cost battery pack capable of predicting a remaining battery life of a rechargeable battery with high accuracy. A remaining battery life prediction device includes: a voltage detection unit configured to measure a battery voltage and a battery temperature of the battery; a calculation unit configured to perform predictive calculation of a remaining battery life based on the battery voltage and the battery temperature; and a control unit configured to control operation of the remaining battery life prediction device and the calculation unit, the remaining battery life prediction device being configured to predict a remaining life of the battery with a calculation flow of for a predetermined time period, recursively calculating the remaining battery life based on the measured battery voltage and battery temperature and an internal impedance of the battery in a battery equivalent circuit.

To provide a battery pack capable of performing a highly accurate prediction of a remaining power of a battery while being low in cost. A battery remaining power predicting device includes a voltage detection portion which measures a voltage and a temperature of a battery, a computing portion which predicts and calculates a remaining power of the battery, and a controller which controls the computing portion, and has a battery remaining power predicting flow for regressively calculating the battery remaining power, and a secular change estimating flow for estimating a secular change in battery characteristics, using a case where a battery current is in a constant current state.

A battery remaining power predicting device predicts a remaining power of a battery by a first computing flow for regressively calculating a battery open circuit voltage and the battery remaining power, based on a battery voltage and a battery temperature both measured, and a current value and a battery internal resistance calculated from a change in the battery remaining power. Further, the battery remaining power predicting device predicts the remaining power of the battery by a second computing flow for calculating a battery capacity and a battery internal resistance, based on a battery remaining power before the start of a constant current discharge, a battery voltage immediately before the stop of the constant current discharge, and a settled battery voltage after the stop of the constant current discharge, after the constant current discharge is performed for a predetermined period as a battery load.

Provided is a low-cost battery pack capable of predicting a remaining battery life of a rechargeable battery with more accuracy while being capable of dealing with a variation in battery characteristics. In a remaining battery life prediction device, a constant current source configured to cause a constant current to flow through a battery as a load current is provided, battery voltages before and after the constant current as the load current is caused to flow through the battery are measured at a plurality of time points, and a battery internal resistance is calculated based on a change over time of the battery voltage.

A battery remaining power predicting device is provided which is equipped with a first voltage detection portion which detects the voltage of a battery, a second voltage detection portion which detects a voltage across a current sense resistor for detecting a load current, a controller which predicts the remaining power of the battery, based on the values of the voltages detected by the first and second voltage detection portions, and a constant current source which allows a constant current to flow through the current sense resistor. The controller is configured to calculate a resistance value of the current sense resistor, based on the detected voltage of the second voltage detection portion when the load current flows, and the detected voltage of the second voltage detection portion when the load current and the constant current flow.

A high-order delta-sigma modulator is realized with amplifying/integrating circuits each having a small circuit scale, to thereby provide a small-size and low-power consumption delta-sigma modulator having a high precision. The delta-sigma modulator including the amplifying/integrating circuits connected in series in a plurality of stages has a delta-sigma modulator configuration in which one of adjacent amplifying/integrating circuits includes a delay integrating circuit and another thereof includes a non-delay integrating circuit. In an actual circuit, one amplifying circuit is operated in a time division manner to be shared between the adjacent amplifying/integrating circuits. The circuit scale is reduced in this way.

Power reduction in delta sigma modulator

A semiconductor integrated circuit device provided with a pipeline A-D conversion circuit in which the enhancement of accuracy and the reduction of power consumption are accomplished is provided. The pipeline A-D conversion circuit is connected in series with an input terminal to which an analog signal to be converted is inputted and has a plurality of stages. The stages other than the first stage connected with the input terminal through at least one stage, including the first stage that receives input signals from the input terminal are constructed as follows: each of the other stages is comprised of two or more sample and hold circuits and an amplifier connected in common with the two or more sample and hold circuits. The two or more sample and hold circuits are caused to perform interleave operation.

An AD-converted digital video data is encoded by a difference encoding method before it is outputted and such encoded digital video data is then outputted, after it is converted to gray code or to a predetermined code in which a fixed value is added. Problems solved include noise that is generated when the AD conversion circuit outputs video data and that migrates into a CCD side via a power supply line on a printed circuit board, and noise that appears on a display image by migration into an input terminal side from an output circuit side via the power supply line and a semiconductor substrate within an AD conversion LSI.

Semiconductor integrated circuit device and imaging system

There is a need for providing a variable amplifier circuit suited for a semiconductor integrated circuit and a high-performance camera preprocessing LSI using the variable amplifier circuit. At first timing, a first input capacitor acquires a first signal. An amplifier circuit amplifies a second signal acquired to the second input capacitor according to a gain corresponding to a capacity ratio between the second input capacitor and a feedback capacitor composed of a variable capacitor device. At second timing, the second input capacitor acquires a second signal. The amplifier circuit amplifies the first signal according to a gain corresponding to a capacity ratio between the first input capacitor and the feedback capacitor. A variable gain amplifier circuit interleavingly amplifies the first signal and the second signal in synchronization with the first timing and the second timing.

Semiconductor integrated circuit device

The present invention provides a band gap type reference voltage generating circuit and a semiconductor integrated circuit having the same, capable of generating a reference voltage of about 1.2V or less whose temperature dependency is low, and realizing reduced offset voltage dependency of a differential amplifier. A band gap part has: a first resistor and a first bipolar transistor connected in series between power supply voltage terminals; a second resistor, a second bipolar transistor, and a third resistor connected in series between the power supply voltage terminals; and a differential amplifier that receives voltages generated by the first and second resistors, and an output of the differential amplifier is applied to the bases of the two transistors. The output part has a third bipolar transistor having a base to which the output of the differential amplifier is applied, a fourth resistor connected in series with the third bipolar transistor, a current mirror circuit for transferring current flowing in the third bipolar transistor, and a fifth resistor and a diode for converting the transferred current to voltage.
