The present invention relates to a self-cleaning dosing pump system for delivering a slurry of solid particles and water. The dosing pump system comprises a membrane metering pump 10 and at least one sieve 11-13, arranged at the delivery end of the pump 10.

Dosing pump system

A spray nozzle for dry shotcreting is disclosed. The spray nozzle has a first member through which dry concrete mix is passed, a second member attached to the first member through which water is passed, and a spray nozzle head. The spray nozzle head has a plurality of openings for water inlet from the second member into the dry concrete mix which passes into the spray nozzle head from the first member. The openings are arranged either circularly or helically about the circumference of the spray nozzle head. The number of openings available for water inlet can be adjusted by axial movement of the spray nozzle head.

A method for adding silica fume to a dry shotcrete mixture wherein the silica fume is added together with the water supplied to the dry mixture in the spray nozzle.
