A fluid-heating device for heating fluid includes: a heater having a heat generating part, the heat generating part being configured to generate heat upon application of current; an electric component configured to control the application of the current to the heater; a tank having an opening portion, the tank being configured to accommodate the heat generating part; a top-plate portion configured to close the opening portion of the tank, the top-plate portion being configured to form a fluid chamber through which the fluid flows; and a first communication port and a second communication port configured to allow the fluid to flow through the fluid chamber; wherein the electric component is provided on an outer side of the fluid chamber along the top-plate portion.

Heat element cooling device

A structure for cooling a heat element includes a heat element box containing a heat element and forms an air passageway therebetween, an intake duct connecting a passenger compartment and the air passageway, a discharge duct connecting the air passageway and a vehicle exterior, and a wall on a vehicle body. The intake duct has a water reserving portion for accumulating a liquid entering from the passenger compartment. The intake duct has an expansion portion and has a discharge hole of the liquid. The wall is provided to face the discharge hole so that the liquid discharged through the discharge hole moves downward along a surface of the wall.

Structure for cooling heating element

An operating position select device for an automatic transmission has a select lever unit having a select lever operated by a driver; a mode shift unit mounted on the automatic transmission to shift operation modes of the automatic transmission; a first and second control cables and others for mechanically connecting the select lever and the mode shift unit, and an actuator for outputting assist torque to shift the mode shift unit. An operating angle sensor detects an operating angle of the select lever and an assist angle sensor detects an assist angle of the assist actuator. A control unit controls a drive current supplied to the assist actuator based on the operating angle and the assist angle.

Operating position select device for automatic transmission

Slits to be used for insertion of an FFC are formed in the root section of each of guide ribs of a male connector housing. A retainer provided integrally with the male connector housing is engaged with a rear-end opening section of the male connector housing. The FFC is sandwiched between a projecting section of the male connector housing and a recessed section of the male connector housing, in a folded manner.

Connector for connecting FFC

An electric connector comprises a male terminal member and a female terminal member. The female terminal member includes a female portion into which a male portion of the male terminal member can be slidably inserted. The female portion is symmetrical with respect to a longitudinal axis of the female terminal member. The female portion includes a base wall portion, side wall portions which extend upward from lateral ends of the base wall portion, upper wall portions which extend toward each other from upper ends of the side wall portions and bent back portions which extend laterally outward from inward ends of the upper wall portions below the upper wall portions. Front ends of the bent back portions are slanted in a direction away from the longitudinal axis thereby to constitute guide slopes for facilitating insertion of the male portion of the male terminal member into the female portion of the female terminal member.

Electric connector

In an electric connector of a type that connecting terminals (29) inserted into a connector housing (21) are respectively secured double not only by securing lances (23) but also by retainers (24) which can be inserted through their associated retainer insertion holes 28 formed in the connector housing (21), at the preset positions of the retainers (24) that are respectively situated between the front end portions (30) of the retainers (24) formed in the insertion direction of the retainers (24) and the rear end portions (31) thereof, there are formed hook portions (34) which can be respectively secured by the rear edge portions (28B) of the retainer insertion holes (28) that are situated in the opposite direction to the insertion direction of the connecting terminals.

A connector for connecting a wire harness with a terminal locking member improves reliability by preventing the adverse effects of outside forces and makes it possible to make a smooth connection. The connector 21 with terminal locking member has flexible members 24b in terminal accommodation chambers 24 whereby when terminal locking member 25 is in a temporary connecting condition with respect to connector housing 22, the flexible members come into contact with arms 26a and keep in check any further insertion of these arms 26a in housing 22, and by inserting terminal 27 into terminal accommodation chambers 24, they become displaced and further insertion of arms 26a is allowed, making possible the regular connecting condition of terminal locking member 25 to connector housing 22.

Connector with terminal locking member

An electric connector provided with a protective cover for protecting terminals fixed in a male connector housing. Locking components formed on the protective cover and the housing are interlocked with each other so as to make the protective cover stable except when the male housing is fitted in a corresponding part. By inserting the male connector housing into the corresponding part, the locking components are automatically released from the interlock, the protective cover is slid by the wall of the corresponding part, and the terminals are connected with circuit patterns of a printed wiring board mounted on the wall of the corresponding part. The electric connector permits the protective cover to securely protect the terminals against a collision with other male housings when they are conveyed, for example.
