An apparatus for recording and/or reproducing a disc-shaped recording medium, such as an optical disc, includes first and second recording and/or reproducing units and a supporting member. The first and second recording and/or reproducing units record and/or reproduce the discs and are mounted in a layered fashion parallel to each other on the supporting member. One of the first and second recording and/or reproducing units is arranged on one surface of the supporting member, while the other recording and/or reproducing unit is arranged on the opposite surface of the supporting member.

A disc player for reading out and reproducing information signals recorded on an information disc, such as an optical disc, and displaying the read out and reproduced information signals on a display section, and a loading device for loading an information disc, such as an optical disc, or a disc table, in which both a disc proper and a disc cartridge comprised of a disc and a cartridge accommodating such disc may be loaded on the disc table. The disc player enables the information on the disc to be read out and reproduced and the readout and reproducing information to be displayed as a visual information, and is reduced in size so as to be portable. The loading device enables both the disc cartridge and the disc proper to be loaded on the disc player.

A disc chucking unit for supporting a disc loaded on a disc table for rotation in unison with the disc table is constituted by the disc table on which a disc is placed and which is rotationally driven by a rotating driving unit, a fitting member arranged at the center of the disc table and fitted into a central opening of the disc, and a plurality of ball-shaped member reciprocably mounted in the fitting member. These ball-shaped members are biased outwardly from the fitting member by an elastic element for thrusting the disc placed on the disc table towards the disc table, so that the disc may be loaded in a centered and offset-free state on the disc table despite the small-sized and simplified construction of the chucking unit.

Described is an apparatus for adapting the diameter of the disk-like recording medium. The apparatus includes a supporting member in the form of a ring having an opening for exposing the signal record area of the disk-like recording medium, such as an optical disk, to the outside, and having a diameter larger than the diameter of the disk-like recording medium. The recording medium is integrally retained by a holding system provided to the supporting member for holding the outer perimeter of the recording medium.

A television receiver having a flat braun tube as its picture tube formed of a tube portion, a funnel portion and a picture display portion in which the picture display portion is coupled integrally through the funnel portion to the tube portion, the back surface of the picture display portion being inclined such that as the back surface goes away from said tube portion, the back surface comes close to the front side of said picture display portion from an axis of said tube portion. A cabinet of substantially flat rectangular parallelepiped shape is used into which the whole of the flat braun tube and electronic circuits thereof are incorporated and a wiring circuit board having thereon at least a part of said electronic circuits is disposed in the cabinet behind the flat braun tube substantially parallel to the axis of the tube portion to define a space between the inclined back surface of the picture display portion and the wiring circuit board to incorporate therein assembly parts of relatively large size.

An illuminating light control device for an endoscope for controlling both the intensity and hue of illuminating light over a wide range. A shutter mechanism is disposed between a discharge lamp light source and the receiving end of an optical fiber bundle. The shutter mechanism may be moved between at least three positions. At the first position, the light is allowed to pass directly from the light source to the optical fiber bundle and the light source is allowed to vary between its maximum and minimum limits. At the minimum limit, the shutter mechanism disposes a transmission light control means in the light path and the light source is returned to its maximum limit whereupon the output light to the optical fiber bundle is the same before the change as afterward. The light source can then be varied again between its maximum and minimum limits thereby effectively doubling the range of light output intensity. The shutter can also be moved to a position which blocks the optical path for a photographing operation.

In a camera having both a mechanical release and a motor drive release, the motor drive unit is provided with a cam which, when the motor drive unit is actuated, limits the movement of the mechanical release member to an amount sufficient only to trip a motor energizing switch without mechanically releasing the curtains. In this way, the same release lever can be used for both the mechanical and motor drive release operations.

A camera having an interchangeable finder with rails or rail grooves that is detachably mounted on a camera body by being moved back and forth. The camera body has rail grooves (or rails) engaging the interchangeable finder. A viscoelastic member and a resin member or a metal member are secured in combination to the interchangeable finder of the drawing type or the camera body. When the interchangeable finder of drawing type is mounted on the body, the resin member or the metal member abuts against the camera body or the interchangeable finder of drawing type to thereby establish an environmental seal.

A device for decoupling the film transport mechanism in a camera is operable either independently, for performing multiple-exposure photography, or by an unwinding lever which simultaneously reverses the drive direction of the film for unwinding.

A camera which has the capability of photographically recording data. A film guide which guides film for movement in a film plane defines an exposure aperture through which an area of the film is exposed by way of the objective, diaphragm, and shutter of the camera. The exposure aperture has a peripheral region situated in front of a peripheral part of an area of the film which is exposed through the exposure aperture. An indicia-carrying structure carries indicia which is to be photographically recorded and is supported by a supporting structure for movement to a selected one of a plurality of different positions where different indicia carried by the indicia-carrying structure will be selectively located in front of the above peripheral region of the exposure aperture, the indicia-carrying structure responding to travelling of light therethrough for photographically recording on the film in the film plane the indicia positioned in front of the peripheral region of the exposure aperture. A positioning structure is operatively connected with the indicia-carrying structure to selectively position the latter for situating selected indicia in front of the peripheral region of the exposure aperture to be recorded photographically on the film with the same light as that which passes through the objective, diaphragm, and shutter of the camera to expose the film behind the exposure aperture to an image of an object which is to be photographed.
