A system and a method which allow an easy shipment and receipt of construction materials and an easy retrieval of the same, as well as an easy acquisition of position information of construction materials. The system includes: an identification information holding medium which holds identification information of the construction material; a moving body that acquires first position information which is position information of the moving body and also acquires identification information; material data storage unit for storing the first position information in association with the identification information; and retrieval unit for retrieving the identification information in the material data storage unit. The display unit displays the first position information associated with the identification information retrieved by the retrieval unit. Therefore, it is easy to perform shipment and receipt of construction materials, easily retrieve construction materials, and it is also easy to acquire position information of construction materials.

Construction material management system and construction material management method

Provided are a novel titania fine-particle composite which has high transparency, high stability, and high ultraviolet-absorbing power and excellent redispersibility, and skin-care external preparations which contain the titania fine-particle composite and exert high ultraviolet protective effect. The titania fine-particle composite can be produced by adding one or more selected from among carboxylic acids and carboxylic acid derivatives represented by general formula (1), and polymers containing the carboxylic acids or carboxylic acid derivatives as a constituent monomer to an aqueous acid dispersion of titania fine particles, and neutralizing the resulting dispersion with an alkali to form a titania fine-particle composite composed of titania fine particles functioning as cores and the carboxylic monomer or polymer deposited on the surface of the cores. In the titania fine-particle composite, titania fine particles functioning as cores have a high degree of crystallization and the intermolecular interaction between titania fine particles and the carboxylic monomer or polymer is strong. Therefore, the titania fine-particle composite can be uniformly dispersed in a dispersion medium to attain high transparency and high stability. Further, skin-care external preparations which exert high ultraviolet protective effect can be produced by adding the titania fine-particle composite.

An engine control apparatus has an electric discharge device, a voltage application device, a fuel supplying device, and a control unit. The electric discharge device includes a first electrode and a second electrode. The second electrode is arranged opposite the first electrode to produce radicals within a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine by a non-equilibrium plasma discharge that is generated between the electrodes before autoignition of the air-fuel mixture occurs. The voltage application device is operatively coupled to the first electrode for applying a voltage between the first and second electrodes to generate the non-equilibrium plasma between the first and second electrodes. The fuel supplying device forms an air-fuel mixture inside the combustion chamber. The control unit is operatively coupled to the electric discharge device to set a discharge start timing of the electric discharge device to occur during an intake stroke of the internal combustion engine.

A reforming catalyst () induces an isomerization reforming reaction and a decomposition reforming reaction of a gasoline fuel. Injectors () supply an isomerized fuel generated by the isomerization reforming reaction and a decomposed fuel generated by the decomposition reforming reaction respectively to the internal combustion engine (). The ratio of the isomerization reforming reaction and the decomposition reforming reaction depends on a catalyst temperature, and can be altered arbitrarily by controlling an air supply amount to the catalyst () via an air amount regulating valve () and a fuel supply amount to the catalyst () via a fuel injector () and thereby controlling the catalyst temperature.

Fuel supply device for internal combustion and control method therefor

An ignition device performs spark ignition to a fuel mixture in a combustion chamber () of an internal combustion engine () by using a spark plug (). The spark plug () includes a first electrode (), a second electrode (), and an insulating member () which is formed from dielectric substance and interposed between the first electrode () and the second electrode (). By impressing an alternating current between the first electrode () and the second electrode (), non-equilibrium plasma discharge between the insulating member () and one of the first electrode () and the second electrode () is promoted. Igniting the fuel mixture by the non-equilibrium plasma discharge achieves a high ignition performance is achieved with low energy consumption.

Non-equilibrium plasma discharge type ignition device

An internal combustion engine includes neighboring main and auxiliary combustion chambers that are separated by a partition wall including a communicating passage. Ignition of an air/fuel mixture in the auxiliary combustion chamber produces a fuel torch that is jetted into an air/fuel mixture in the main combustion chamber. Under a predetermined operation condition, timing for opening an intake valve is retarded relative to both the timing for closing an exhaust valve and the timing for top dead center of a piston on an exhaust stroke. By retarding the timing for opening the intake valve, residual gas in the auxiliary combustion that is left over from a previous cycle can be reduced.

The auxiliary chamber partition wall has at least one jet aperture through which the auxiliary combustion chamber fluidly communicates with the main combustion chamber. A tip portion of the auxiliary chamber partition wall that faces toward the piston has a smaller wall thickness than other portion of the auxiliary chamber partition wall.

An internal combustion engine is provided that basically comprises a combustion chamber, an electric discharge unit and a controller. The combustion chamber receives a mixture of fuel and air that is caused to undergo compression self ignition. The electric discharge unit is provided inside the combustion chamber to generate an electric discharge for conducting combustion inside the combustion chamber. The controller is configured to control a voltage applied to the electric discharge unit. The controller is configured to control the electric discharge unit such that a non-thermal plasma can be formed without incurring a transition to arc discharging, and to control the quantity and distribution of an activated air-fuel mixture inside the combustion chamber in accordance with an operating condition of the internal combustion engine.

Internal combustion engine and combustion control method

An internal combustion engine includes a main combustion chamber, an auxiliary combustion chamber, a fuel reforming unit, and a control unit. The auxiliary combustion chamber is configured and arranged to communicate with the main combustion chamber. The fuel reforming unit is configured and arranged to reform a fuel to produce a reformed gaseous fuel and a reformed liquid fuel. The control unit is configured to execute control such that the reformed gaseous fuel is supplied to the auxiliary combustion chamber when a first operating condition exists and the reformed liquid fuel is supplied to the main combustion chamber when a second operating condition exists.

An internal combustion engine comprises a main combustion chamber part, an auxiliary combustion chamber part, a first communicating passage, a second communicating passage and an igniting component. The auxiliary combustion chamber part includes first and second auxiliary combustion chambers. The first auxiliary combustion chamber is disposed adjacent to the main combustion chamber part. The second auxiliary combustion chamber is disposed adjacent to the first auxiliary combustion chamber at a position further away from the main combustion chamber part. A direct fuel injection engine basically comprises a combustion chamber, a piston with a cavity, a fuel injection valve, a spark plug and a control unit. The fuel injection valve is configured and arranged to directly inject a fuel stream into the combustion chamber in a substantially constant hollow circular cone shape in a stratified combustion region. The control unit is configured to ignite a first air-fuel mixture formed directly after the fuel stream is injected and prior to a majority of the fuel stream striking the cavity when the direct fuel injection engine is operating in a low-load stratified combustion region, and to ignite a second air-fuel mixture formed after a majority of the fuel stream is guided by the cavity toward an upper portion of the combustion chamber above the cavity when the direct fuel injection engine is operating in a high-load stratified combustion region.

The disclosed rotary duplicating mimeograph machine comprises an endless belt type rotating screen, a clamping and a stencil raising element disposed on the screen adjacent to each other, and a rectangular bit of cut stencil paper with a head somewhat thicker than its main body disposed on the screen by having the head clamped by the clamping element and engaged by the raising element. After the printing, a cam actuates the two elements to release the head and then raise the head. Two takeup pawls disposed in spaced relationship with the screen outside its opposite edges are operated to engage the head and wrap the stencil bit about the head. A stencil discharging element located between the pawls is turned to discharge the wrapped bit disengaged from the pawls to a receptacle disposed below it.
