One object is to provide a lightweight and low-cost fixing structure for a fishing line guide which allows simple and secure fixing and a fishing rod employing the fixing structure. The fixing structure for a fishing line guide according to the present invention comprises: a fishing line guide including an opening for guiding a fishing line and a circular portion having an insertion hole through which the fishing line is to be passed; and two fixing pipes contacting a front surface and a rear surface of the circular portion, wherein the circular portion and end surfaces of the fixing pipes are inclined at a same angle with respect to a vertical plane orthogonal to an axial direction of the fishing rod.

A tip rod made of a fiber reinforced resin has a solid structure at least at its distal end portion. The tip rod is formed by dispersing reinforcement fibers in a matrix resin, molding the matrix resin that contains the reinforcement fibers into a prescribed shape, and heating the molded matrix resin that contains the reinforcement fibers to be cured. An average diameter of the reinforcement fibers is 3 to 15 &#x3bc;m, an average length of the reinforcement fibers is 0.5 to 10 mm, a content of the fibers dispersed in the matrix resin is 3 to 50 wt %. The solid structure of the tip rod includes an outer layer, an intermediate layer, and an inner layer in which the reinforcement fibers are directed in a different direction for each layer. Alternatively the structure may include the outer layer and the inner layer.

A set of fishline guides which are configured to be attached to a rod in an axial direction of the rod, each of the set of fishline guides includes a frame including a fixing portion configured to be attached to an outer surface of the rod, a ring holding portion to which a guide ring through which a fishline passes is attached, and a support leg connecting the fixing portion to the ring holding portion, the fixing portion being in a plane transverse to a plane of the ring holding portion. The frame includes a plurality of fiber-reinforced resin layers foamed by laminating a plurality of fiber-reinforced prepregs in which a reinforcing fiber is impregnated with a synthetic resin. A normal line to a plane of each of the fiber-reinforced resin layers forming the ring holding portion coincides with an axial direction of the ring holding portion.

According to an embodiment, there is provided a fishing rod with which a fishing line guide that has a leg portion extending in an extension direction of the fishing rod main body can be mounted on a fishing rod main body in a simple manner. The fishing rod includes a rod-shaped fishing rod main body, a fishing line guide including a leg portion arranged on an outer surface of the fishing rod main body and extending along an extension direction of the fishing rod main body, and a tubular fixing member formed of fiber-reinforced plastic, covering the outer surface of the fishing rod main body and the leg portion, and pressing the leg portion toward the outer surface.

A fishing line guide to be attached to a fishing rod includes a frame that includes a fixing part to be fixed to an exterior surface of the fishing rod, a holding part which holds a ring-shaped guide ring through which a fishing line is to pass, and a connecting part connecting the fixing portion to the holding part. The frame includes a fiber reinforced synthetic resin including a fiber bundle including a plurality of reinforced fibers extending in an extending direction of a part forming the holding part and the connecting part.

A fishline guide according to the present invention has a frame which includes a fixing portion which is mounted on a fishing rod, a ring holding portion, to which a guide ring through which a fishline passes is attached, and a support leg portion which connects the ring holding portion and the fixing portion. The frame is composed of a plurality of fiber-reinforced resin layers in which fiber-reinforced prepregs in which reinforcing fibers are impregnated with synthetic resin are laminated.

An interline fishing rod which not only prevents stress centralization but also includes a fishing line guide and is high in strength. A rod pipe (,) includes a joining portion (,T) in the leading end portion thereof, a forwardly narrowed taper portion (,S) located just in the rear of the joining portion (,T), and a straight or forwardly narrowed and gently tapered rod pipe main body portion (,H) located in the rear of the taper portion (,S). A fishing line guide (RG,) is provided on and protected from the inside wall of the rod pipe main body portion (,H), while the inside diameter (d,) of the fishing line guide (RG,) is set larger than the inside diameters (d,) and (d,). Reinforcing layers (H,, H,) for reinforcing a main body layer are provided in such a manner that it extends from the joining portion (,T) to at least the front-most position of the fishing line guide (RG,).

Interline fishing rod

An intraline fishing rod includes a hollow rod pipe having an internal surface and an external surface. A plurality of line guide protrusions protrude radially inwardly from the internal surface. Each of the line guide protrusions has front and rear ends, an apex, and front and rear slopes. A water-repellent layer is provided to extend continuously between the line guide protrusions, thereby entirely covering the front and rear ends, the apices and the front and rear slopes of the line guide protrusions and the internal surface of the rod pipe.

Intraline fishing rod

An interline fishing rod which not only prevents stress centralization but also includes a fishing line guide and is high in strength. A rod pipe (12) includes a joining portion (12T) in the leading end portion thereof, a forwardly narrowed taper portion (12S) located just in the rear of the joining portion (12T), and a straight or forwardly narrowed and gently tapered rod pipe main body portion (12H) located in the rear of the taper portion (12S). A fishing line guide (RG2) is provided on and projected from the inside wall of the rod pipe main body portion (12H), while the inside diameter (d2) of the fishing line guide (RG2) is set larger than the inside diameters (d0) and (d4). Reinforcing layers (H1, H2) for reinforcing a main body layer are provided in such a manner that it extends from the joining portion (12T) to at least the front-most position of the fishing line guide (RG2).

In order to provide a member for a fishing or sport tool with light weight property and excellent exterior, the member is constructed by a body; a film formed directly on the body of the member or through an intermediate layer; and a single-color forming coating film formed on the outside of the film and capable of transmitting or reflecting only components in a wavelength region included in a specific range among incident light beams.

The present invention relates to a fishing rod having a rod tube formed from synthetic resin-impregnated high strength fiber and to a production method thereof. The rod tube of the present fishing rod is filled with resin containing microglobules in a dispersed state. This makes a lighter and stronger fishing rod which withstands extreme deflection. The production method according to the present invention can adjust the ratio of the filled resin and the dispersed microglobules at the tip and butt portions of the rod. Accordingly, the weight, strength, and condition for each portion of the rod can be controlled as required.
