A microwave device includes a board having a first face and a second face, a transmitting antenna portion provided on the first face, a receiving antenna portion provided on the first face, and a high-frequency circuit portion that is provided on the first face and is connected to the transmitting antenna portion and the receiving antenna portion. The microwave device further includes, on the second face of the board, a ground face that is provided shared by the transmitting antenna portion, receiving antenna portion, and high-frequency circuit portion, and a via hole connecting another ground face of the high-frequency circuit portion and the ground face. A ground face shared by the transmitting antenna portion, receiving antenna portion, and high-frequency circuit portion is configured by the ground faces and the via hole.

Microwave device

A high-frequency device that detects biological information related to heartbeat, respiration, and the like with high accuracy. A high-frequency device () includes a biological signal extracting unit (heartbeat signal extracting unit, respiration signal extracting unit) that extracts a biological signal representing a specific frequency component; and an autocorrelation function processing unit (heartbeat autocorrelation function processing unit, respiratory autocorrelation function processing unit) that determines periodicity of an autocorrelation function to calculate biological information.

A millimeter wave transceiving systemfor transmitting and receiving a millimeter wave includes a transmitting apparatusfor transmitting a millimeter wave, a reflecting platefor reflecting a millimeter wave transmitted from the transmitting apparatus, and a receiving apparatusfor receiving a millimeter wave reflected by the reflecting plate. The reflecting plateincludes a metal plate, a metal sheet, or a metal film, as a reflecting surfacefor reflecting a millimeter wave. This makes it possible to realize a millimeter wave transceiving system which allows an easy installation.

An earphone antenna device operable to be connected with a wireless communication terminal device includes: earphone cables, connected with earphone sections, respectively, for supplying audio signals; an audio cable one end of which is connected with the wireless communication terminal device and the other end is connected with the earphone cables; and a coaxial cable one end of which is connected with the wireless communication terminal device and the other end is connected with a pair of string-shaped antenna elements integrated with the earphone cables. The earphone cables are insulated from the antenna elements and the audio cable is insulated from the coaxial cable. This provides a dipole antenna device and an earphone antenna device hardly influenced by noises from the wireless communication terminal device and noises transmitted via the audio cable. Further, a wireless communication terminal device to be connected with the antenna devices is provided.

A radio receiver includes a down-converterfor receiving a radio multiplexed signal containing a first signal and a second signal, multiplying the first signal and the second signal by a mixerto thereby down-convert the radio multiplexed signal and generate an intermediate frequency signal. The mixerhas a control section for controlling an operating bias of the mixerin response to a signal strength of at least either one of the first signal or the second signal. Thus, the dynamic range of the mixer can be widened so that stable image characteristics can be obtained over a wide range of transmission distance.

Radio receiver

The present invention provides a radio communication device, a transmitter and a receiver capable of handling a plurality of signal waves. A radio communication device has a millimeter-wave transmitter () and a millimeter-wave receiver (). Millimeter-wave transmitter () includes a multiplexing circuit (), a millimeter-wave up-converter () and an antenna (), and the millimeter-receiver includes an antenna (), a millimeter-wave down-converter () and an output processing circuit (). The signal waves dedicated to the user are modulated by a modulation circuit (to) so as to be allocated between the ground broadcast waves and satellite broadcast waves. The frequencies are multiplexed in an intermediate frequency band, after that, the multiplexed frequencies are converted into a millimeter-wave band and the resultant is transmitted. On the reception side, the multiplexed waves are down-converted, separated to signal waves and demodulated.

Radio communication apparatus, transmitter apparatus and receiver apparatus

An antenna of the present invention includes a coaxial cable, antenna elements (and), and an unbalanced/balanced converter. The unbalanced/balanced converter has a high-pass circuit provided between an input terminal portand an output terminal portand a low-pass circuit provided between the input terminal portand an output terminal port. Moreover, the high-pass circuit rejects frequencies within a VHF band, and the high-pass circuit and the low-pass circuit both pass frequencies within a UHF band. In response to a signal, inputted to the input terminal port, which falls within the UHF band, the high-pass circuit and the low-pass circuit output signals that are inverted in phase and equal in amplitude with respect to each other. Therefore, the antenna has high transmission and reception sensitivity in a wide frequency range, i.e., in the VHF and UHF bands. This makes it possible to provide an antenna having high transmission and reception sensitivity in a wide frequency range.

A radiocommunication apparatus includes a transmitting device and a receiving device. The transmitting device includes a first local oscillation section for selecting a frequency for a first local oscillation signal from a plurality of predetermined frequencies in order to output the first local oscillation signal, and a first frequency mixing section for mixing an input signal and the first local oscillation signal, thereby forming a transmission signal. The receiving device includes a second local oscillation section for selecting a frequency for a second local oscillation signal from the plurality of predetermined frequencies in order to output the second local oscillation signal, and a second frequency mixing section for mixing a received signal and the second local oscillation signal, thereby forming an output signal. The frequency for the first local oscillation signal and the frequency for the second local oscillation signal are selected such that the frequency for the first local oscillation signal and the frequency for the second local oscillation signal are identical to each other.

In order to receive satellite broadcasting (BS and CS) and terrestrial broadcasting (VHF and UHF), complicated wiring is required in a personal residence for transmitting broadcasting signals to a plurality of TV receivers while new distributors must be additionally set for installing additional TV receivers in a condominium previously provided with distributors limiting the number of settable TV receivers. The inventive millimeter wave communication system forms power supply paths by simply connecting a BS/CS antenna with a millimeter wave transmitter and connecting an electronic apparatus such as a TV receiver with a millimeter wave receiver through connectors or the like while transmitting/receiving broadcasting signals by millimeter wave radio communication without employing wires such as coaxial cables indoors.
