The present invention relates to an asphalt composition which is excellent in storage stability at a high temperature, an asphalt mixture, a method for producing the same, and a road paving method. Provided are [1] an asphalt composition containing asphalt, a polyester resin, and a dispersant; [2] an asphalt mixture containing the asphalt composition as set forth above in [1] and an aggregate; [3] a road paving method including a step of laying the asphalt mixture as set forth above in [2], thereby forming an asphalt paving material layer; and [4] a method for producing an asphalt mixture including mixing asphalt, a polyester resin, a dispersant, and an aggregate at 130&#xb0; C. or higher and 200&#xb0; C. or lower.

Asphalt composition

The present invention relates to an asphalt composition for road pavement, which is excellent in drying strength, strength after immersion in water, and strength after immersion in petroleum, a method for producing the same, and a road paving method. [1] An asphalt composition for road pavement, containing asphalt, a polyester resin, and an aggregate, wherein the polyester resin is one subjected to melt-kneading and a ratio of the polyester resin is 5 parts by mass or more and 50 parts by mass or less based on 100 parts by mass of the asphalt; [2] a method for producing an asphalt composition for road pavement, including a step of mixing asphalt, a polyester resin, and an aggregate at 130&#xb0; C. or higher and 200&#xb0; C. or lower, wherein the polyester resin used in the mixing step is one subjected to melt-kneading, and a ratio of the polyester resin is 5 parts by mass or more and 50 parts by mass or less based on 100 parts by mass of the asphalt; and [3] a road paving method including a step of laying an asphalt composition obtained by the method of [2], thereby forming an asphalt paving material layer.

Asphalt composition for road paving

Asphalt composition for road pavement, excellent in drying strength, strength after immersion in water, and strength after immersion in petroleum, method for producing same, and road paving method. Composition comprises asphalt, polyester, and aggregate. Polyester has alcohol component-derived constituent unit containing &#x2265;65 mol % bisphenol A/alkylene oxide adduct and carboxylic acid component-derived constituent unit containing &#x2265;50 mol % terephthalic or isophthalic acid. Composition has softening point of 95&#xb0;&#x2212;130&#xb0; C., hydroxyl group value of 20-50 mgKOH/g, and ratio of polyester resin of 5-50 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the asphalt. Production method comprising mixing asphalt, the polyester, and aggregate at 130-200&#xb0; C. for &#x2265;30 seconds. Polyester resin is mixed in ratio of 5-50 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of asphalt. Road paving method comprises laying asphalt composition obtained by production method as set forth, thereby forming an asphalt paving material layer.

Asphalt composition for road pavement

The present invention relates to a binder resin composition for toners for development of electrostatic images capable of giving a toner excellent in fusing properties on PP films, a toner for development of electrostatic images containing the binder resin composition, a printing method using the toner, and a printed material. [1] A binder resin composition for toners for development of electrostatic images, including a polyester-based resin and polyolefin particles, wherein the polyolefin particles contain a polymer having a polymer skeleton of olefin having 2 or more and 3 or less carbon atoms, the volume median diameter (D) of a small particle size component, as measured according to a dynamic light scattering method using a dispersion S of a small particle size component obtainable according to Methods 1 and 2, is 20 nm or more and 400 nm or less, the content of a large particle size component obtainable according to Method 2 is 0% by mass or more and 30% by mass or less relative to the total amount of the large particle size component and the small particle size component, and the content of the small particle size component is 70% by mass or more and 100% by mass or less relative to the total amount of the large particle size component and the small particle size component, and the melting endothermic energy amount of the small particle size component is 3 J/g or more and 10 J/g or less; [2] a toner for development of electrostatic images including the binder resin composition for toners for development of electrostatic images according to the above [1] in an amount of 20% by mass or more and 100% by mass or less in the binder resin therein, and including a releasing agent having a melting point of 60&#xb0; C. or higher and 100&#xb0; C. or lower in an amount of 1 part by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the binder resin; [3] a printing method including printing on a plastic film according to an electrophotographic method with the toner for development of electrostatic images according to the above [2]; and [4] a printed material obtainable according to the method of the above [3].

Binder resin composition for electrostatic image developing toners

Asphalt composition for road pavement, which is excellent in drying strength, strength after immersion in water, and bending strength, a method for producing the same, and a road paving method. The asphalt composition includes asphalt, a polyester resin, and an aggregate. The polyester resin is a specific polyester, and the amount of the polyester resin ranges from 2 through 30 parts by mass, based on 100 parts by mass of asphalt. The method for producing an asphalt composition for road pavement, includes a step of mixing asphalt, the polyester resin, and an aggregate at 130&#xb0; C. or higher and 200&#xb0; C. or lower, wherein the polyester resin is used in an amount ranging from 2 through 30 parts by mass, based on 100 parts by mass of the asphalt. The road paving method including a step of laying the asphalt composition, thereby forming an asphalt paving material layer.

Asphalt composition for paving roads

The present invention provides a toner for development of electrostatic images including a polyester-based resin and a polypropylene-based wax, which is excellent in fusing properties on a polypropylene film. The present invention relates to [1] a resin binder composition for toners for development of electrostatic images which has an endothermic amount ratio &#x394;Hof not less than 0.10 and not more than 0.80, [2] a resin binder composition for toners for development of electrostatic images in which a volume-median particle size (D) of a wax as a whole contained therein is not less than 1 &#x3bc;m and not more than 50 &#x3bc;m; a volume-median particle size (D) of a small particle size component of the wax is not less than 20 nm and not more than 400 nm; and a content of the small particle size component in the wax is not less than 20% by mass and not more than 90% by mass, [3] a process for producing a resin binder composition for toners for development of electrostatic images in which a polypropylene-based wax is added to a reaction system prior to addition polymerization upon production of a composite resin as a resin binder; and [4] a toner for development of electrostatic images including the resin binder composition as described in the above [1] or [2].

A method for producing a toner for electrostatic image development, including the steps of (1) polycondensing an alcohol component, a carboxylic acid component, and polyethylene terephthalate to provide an amorphous polyester; and (2) subjecting the amorphous polyester obtained in the step (1) and components containing a crystalline polyester in an amount of from 0.3 to 2.5 times the mass of the components derived from the polyethylene terephthalate in the amorphous polyester to a process for producing a toner. The toner for electrostatic image development obtained by the method of the present invention is suitably used in development or the like of latent images formed in, for example, an electrophotographic method, an electrostatic recording method, an electrostatic printing method, or the like.

Method for producing toner for electrostatic image development

A method for producing a toner including the steps of melt-kneading at least a resin binder and a colorant to give a kneaded product (step 1); and heat-treating the kneaded product obtained in the step 1 (step 2), wherein the resin binder contains a crystalline resin and an amorphous resin, wherein the crystalline resin contains a specified composite resin containing (a) a specified polycondensation resin component and (b) a styrenic resin component, in a specified weight ratio, wherein the composite resin is contained in the resin binder in a specified amount. The toner obtained by the above method is used in, for example, the development of a latent image formed in electrophotography, electrostatic recording method, electrostatic printing method or the like.

Method for producing toner

The present invention relates to a crystalline resin for toners which includes a composite resin including a polycondensation-based resin component obtained by polycondensing an alcohol component containing an aliphatic diol having 2 to 10 carbon atoms with a carboxylic acid component containing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, and a styrene-based resin component; a resin binder containing the crystalline resin and a non-crystalline resin; and a toner for electrophotography which contains the resin binder. According to the present invention, there are provided a crystalline resin for toners which is capable of producing a toner that is excellent in not only low-temperature fixing ability but also gloss of images and anti-filming property, a resin binder, and a toner for electrophotography.

Crystalline resins for toners

The present invention relates to a resin binder for toners which contains a crystalline polyester which is produced by polycondensing at least an alcohol component containing an aliphatic diol having 2 to 12 carbon atoms and a carboxylic acid component containing an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid compound having 8 to 12 carbon atoms in an amount of from 70 to 100 mol %, wherein a content of a methyl ethyl ketone soluble component (at 20&#xb0; C.) in the crystalline polyester is from 0.5 to 7% by weight on the basis of a weight of the crystalline polyester, and a difference between a melting point of the crystalline polyester and a peak top temperature observed in DSC measurement of the methyl ethyl ketone soluble component ('melting point of the crystalline polyester'&#x2212;'peak top temperature observed in DSC measurement of the methyl ethyl ketone soluble component') is within the range of from 1 to 15&#xb0; C.

Resin binders for toners

The present invention relates to a process for producing a dispersion of polyester particles which includes the step of emulsifying mixed polyester containing (1) an amorphous polyester containing a constitutional unit derived from a trivalent or higher-valent carboxylic acid in an amount of from 2.0 to 12.0 mol % on the basis of whole constitutional units of the whole amorphous polyester and (2) a crystalline polyester, in an aqueous medium in a single vessel, or the step of mixing the mixed polyester with an organic solvent and then adding the aqueous medium to the resulting mixture to emulsify the mixed polyester in a single vessel. The present invention also relates to a dispersion of polyester particles produced by the above production process, as well as a toner for electrophotography which is produced by subjecting the dispersion of the polyester particles to aggregation and coalescence and is excellent in both of a low-temperature fusing property and an anti-hot offset property, and a process for producing the toner.

Manufacturing method for polyester particle dispersion liquid

A method for producing an electrophotographic toner, including steps of: (1) preparing a thermally treated resin particle dispersion by retaining, for one hour or longer at a temperature satisfying the formula: (melting point of the crystalline polyester (a1)&#x2212;35) (&#xb0; C.)&#x3c;T&#x3c;melting point of the crystalline polyester (a1) (&#xb0; C.), a dispersion of resin particles (A) having a volume median particle size of 0.02-2 &#x3bc;m and containing a resin containing a crystalline polyester (a1) of 1-50 wt % and an amorphous polyester (b1); (2) preparing an aggregated particle dispersion by aggregating thermally treated resin particles contained in the thermally treated resin particle dispersion prepared through step 1; (2a) preparing resin-fine-particle-attached aggregated particles by adding, to the aggregated particle dispersion prepared through step 2, a dispersion of resin fine particles (B) containing an amorphous polyester (b2) of 70 wt % or more; and (3) unifying the resin-fine-particle-attached aggregated particles prepared through step 2a.

Process for production of electrophotographic toner

The present invention relates to a toner for electrophotography including a polyester obtained by subjecting a crystalline polyester-containing aqueous dispersion and a non-crystalline polyester-containing aqueous dispersion to aggregation and coalescence, as a resin binder, wherein the crystalline polyester is produced by polycondensing an alcohol component containing 70 mol % or more of an aliphatic diol having 2 to 8 carbon atoms with a carboxylic acid component containing 50 mol % or more of terephthalic acid. The toner is excellent in low-temperature fusing ability and pressure storage stability.

Toners for electrophotography

The present invention relates to a resin binder for toners which includes core/shell particles each including a core portion containing a crystalline polyester obtained by polycondensing an alcohol component containing an aliphatic diol having 2-12 carbon atoms and a carboxylic acid component containing an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid compound having 8-12 carbon atoms in an amount of 70-100 mol %, and a non-crystalline resin (A) obtained by polycondensing an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component containing at least one succinic acid compound selected from the group consisting of an alkyl (C-C) succinic acid and an alkenyl (C-C) succinic acid in an amount of 3-60 mol %; and a shell portion containing a non-crystalline resin (B) obtained by polycondensing a carboxylic acid component and an alcohol component containing an aliphatic dialcohol having 2-5 carbon atoms in an amount of 80 mol % or more.

The present invention relates to a resin for use in a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet which is excellent in dyeability with dyes and releasability of the sheet, a resin dispersion using the resin, and a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet. The resin for a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet is obtained by addition polymerizing and condensation polymerizing (a) raw monomers of a polyester, (b) a raw monomer of an addition polymer-based resin containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of styrene and styrene derivatives and (c) at least one dually reactive monomer selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and derivatives of these acids, wherein the raw monomers (a) of a polyester include an alcohol component containing 80 mol % or more of an alkyleneoxide adduct of 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane.
