A tire wear measuring device that detects wear of a tire based on a magnetic field from a magnetic object embedded in the tire includes magnetic sensors and a battery. The battery is capable of transmitting the magnetic field from the magnetic object, and has an outer edge from which the magnetic field from the magnetic object is emitted as an emission magnetic field. Each of the magnetic sensors is disposed in a position where the emission magnetic field is detectable by the sensor.

A tire deterioration inferring (estimating) method uses a tire deterioration inferring device placed on the inner surface of a tire. The method has: a deformation velocity measurement step of measuring a tire deformation velocity, which is the deformation velocity of the tire while the tire is rotating, and obtaining time-series changes in the tire deformation velocity; a calculation step of calculating peak values of the tire deformation velocity from the time-series changes in the tire deformation velocity; and an inference step of inferring the degree of the deterioration of the tire by using a first peak value, which is a peak value of the tire deformation velocity before and at the stepping of the tire or at and after the kicking of the tire, the first peak value being in the time-series changes in the tire deformation velocity.

In a spinning reel for fishing, a diameter of the front side flange portion of a spool relative to a distance defined between outer surfaces of support arms provided on a rotor is set at 0.6 to 0.8, and a rear end of a rear side flange portion is tapered so that a diameter of the rear end is gradually decreased rearwardly. A spinning reel for fishing includes: a cylindrical drive shaft into which a spool shaft is inserted, rotated being linked with a handle; a front and a rear bearing to rotatably support the cylindrical drive shaft, arranged in a support section formed on the front side of a reel body; and a rotor attached to the cylindrical drive shaft, the rotor having a fishing line guide section to wind a fishing line round a spool arranged at the front section of the spool shaft. At least one of the front and the rear bearing is made up of a rolling bearing, outside portions of both the front and the rear bearing are fixed to and supported by the support section of the reel body in the axial direction, an inner race of one of the front and the rear rolling bearing is fixed to and supported by the cylindrical drive shaft in the axial direction, and an inside portion of the other of the front and the rear rolling bearing is movably arranged with respect to the cylindrical drive shaft in the axial direction. The bearing can be installed without the phase difference between the outer and the inner races, and the smooth rotation of the rotor and the smooth winding operation can be ensured.

In a spinning reel for fishing, a fishline guide roller is rotatably supported on a bail support arm pivotably mounted on a rotor. The guide roller has a flattened shape such that a ratio of an axial length of the roller relative to a diameter thereof falls within 0.10-0.40. Further, the guide roller is formed with a narrow fishline guide groove so that a ratio of an axial length of the fishline guide groove relative to an axial length of the roller falls within 0.05-0.35. It is possible to make a fishline guide roller small in weight and size and to restrict axial motion of a fishline along the guide roller which, among other advantages, reduces line twist in the fishline.

A bail mounting portion (6) of a spinning reel for fishing includes a securing projected portion (6b), and a semi-annular and hollow bail (7) includes a securing recessed portion (7c) formed in one side end portion (7a). The securing recessed portion (7c) of the bail (7) is fitted with the securing projected portion (6b) of the bail mounting portion (6) by pressure. With this structure, the bail (7) can be surely fixed to the bail mounting portion (6), and thus the function of a fishing line guide device can be maintained stably for a long time.
