The reflection-type liquid crystal display device includes two liquid crystal layers for selectively reflecting light in a specific wavelength range, and a partition wall interposed between the liquid crystal layers so as to separate the liquid crystal layers from each other. A device main body is formed portable, which includes (i) an information writing/erasing section which erases information recorded in a liquid crystal paper and returns the liquid crystal paper into an initialized state in which information recording is possible, and records information previously stored in the device main body into the initialized liquid crystal paper as required, and (ii) a sheet holding section which holds the liquid crystal paper in such a manner that the liquid crystal paper can be transported to an information erasure position and an information recording position in the information writing/erasing section and that the liquid crystal paper is curved at portions thereof other than those at which information recording and erasing is carried out. With this, it is possible to provide an information recording device with improved operability, such as improved portability and capability of easily reading out information at any place.

In an image forming apparatus having a developing unit for developing an image using toner, a toner box for withholding the toner, and a toner transportation section for transporting the toner withheld in the toner box to the developing unit, the toner transportation section includes a transportation screw portion having formed a spiral blade section on its shaft, a pipe section for controlling a toner transportation route by covering the transportation screw portion of the toner transportation section, and a toner flow suppressing section for suppressing flow of the toner from a space between the transportation screw and pipe section. Consequently, a toner transportation opening formed near the transportation section can be closed, and therefore, the flowing of toner into the developing unit can be controlled or reduced by a simple and inexpensive arrangement.

The invention is characterized by efficiently and quickly loosening an aggregation of toner material formed in a toner cartridge. A toner cartridge has an L-shaped toner agitating member disposed in a main body thereof having a discharge port for feeding toner at the front surface of the main body. Since the toner agitating member is supported so as to pivot like a conical pendulum, a support pin fixed to a bottom surface of the main body passes through a through hole having a greater diameter than that of the support pin. The support pin has an engagement portion attached thereto for prevention of disengagement of the toner agitating member therefrom. A plate-like portion of the toner agitating member defines an agitating plate, a distal end of which extends toward the discharge port of the main body. Shaking the toner cartridge causes the agitating member to rotate about the support pin and to pivot in a direction parallel to the axis of the support pin like a conical pendulum, thereby efficiently loosening the aggregated toner material.

A network system for copiers includes a plurality of copiers each provided with a communication device for communicating with external equipment and a power-on device for powering on the copier in a hold state in response to an external signal received by the communication device and a main controller including an operation controller for controlling operation of the copiers and a time setter for setting time to power on a copier, the main controller being connected to the copiers by a network. The operation controller executes control such that only predetermined one of the copiers is powered on at the power-on time set by the time setter.
