A voice expressed by a voice actor or actress to a look and behavior of a character is electronized into voice data. The voice data and character data are stored in an associated relationship in a server device of an enterprise. A list of voice data stored in the server device is sent to a user's information terminal over the Internet. At the user's request, the server selects corresponding voice data and sells it to the user. The server also sells image data of the character.

Methods and systems for selling voice data

Data input from a key switch is displayed on a liquid crystal display, and whether to store the data in a RAM or an EEPROM is selected by a selection switch. If the EEPROM is selected, a CPU turns on a power switch to apply a high voltage to the EEPROM to write the input data therein. Data stored in the RAM and the EEPROM are read out upon operation of a search switch and are sequentially displayed on the liquid crystal display. It is clearly indicated on the display whether the currently displayed data is read out from the RAM or the EEPROM. With this operation, if data which is required to be protected against disconnection of a power supply voltage or a drop in power supply voltage is stored in the RAM, the data can be stored in the EEPROM.

In a normal state, a time counting process and a key input process are performed in accordance with an oscillation signal of 38.4 KHz generated by a crystal oscillator. In a data communication mode, a process for exchanging data with an external appliance is performed in accordance with a frequency-divided signal of the above oscillation signal and received data are stored in a memory simultaneously in a high speed process under control of an oscillation signal of 800 KHz generated by a CR oscillator. A power source circuit provides a high power source voltage, preventing all circuits from a defective operation while the high speed process is performed since the high speed process can decrease a power source voltage.
