A method of manufacturing a biaxially stretched film according by: (I) preheating a thermoplastic resin film to a temperature in a rubbery plateau region in a storage elastic modulus curve; (II) biaxially stretching the thermoplastic resin film under a condition that a stretching speed is 500%/min or higher while heating the thermoplastic resin film to the temperature in the rubbery plateau region; (III) cooling the thermoplastic resin film after the biaxially stretching (II) to a temperature in a glass-to-rubber transition region or a glass region in the storage elastic modulus curve; and (IV) relaxing the thermoplastic resin film after the cooling (III) at a temperature in the glass-to-rubber transition region.

A modified acrylic block copolymer is obtained by a method comprising subjecting a block copolymer (C) to a reaction with an amine compound, wherein the block copolymer comprises a polymer block (A) comprising a (meth)acrylic acid ester unit (a) and a polymer block (B') comprising a (meth)acrylic acid ester unit (b&#x2032;), the (meth)acrylic acid ester unit (a) is structurally different from the (meth)acrylic acid ester unit (b&#x2032;), thereby partly or entirely converting the (meth)acrylic acid ester unit (b&#x2032;) into at least one selected from the group consisting of an N-substituted (meth)acrylamide unit (d), a (meth)acrylic acid unit (c), and an N-substituted bis((meth)acryl)amide unit (e).

Modified acrylic block copolymer, method for producing same, and intended use of same

A permanent magnet for a particle accelerator and a magnetic field generator, in which Nd&#x2014;Fe&#x2014;B based magnets are used but are not demagnetized so easily even when exposed to a radiation, are provided. A permanent magnet for a particle accelerator is used in an environment in which the magnet is exposed to a radiation at an absorbed dose of at least 3,000 Gy. The magnet includes R (which is at least one of the rare-earth elements), B, TM (which is at least one transition element and includes Fe) and inevitably contained impurity elements. The magnet is a sintered magnet that has been magnetized to a permeance coefficient of 0.5 or more and that has a coercivity Hof 1.6 MA/m or more.

Permanent magnet for particle beam accelerator and magnetic field generator

A thermoplastic polymer composition having good flexibility and excellent barrier properties with respect to gases and organic liquids, which can be adhesively bonded to a polyolefin resin, this composition comprising an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A), a polymer mixture (B) composed of a block copolymer (I) mainly comprising a vinyl aromatic polymer block and a conjugated diene polymer block which may be hydrogenated, and a rubber softener (II), and a polyolefin resin (C), wherein at least part of the block copolymer (I) is modified at a modification ratio of 0.05 wt. % or higher so as to have a functional group capable of reacting with the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A), wherein the ISO type A hardness of the thermoplastic polymer composition is not less than 30 and not higher than 90, and the oxygen permeation coefficient is 20,000 mL&#xb7;20 &#x3bc;m/m&#xb7;day&#xb7;atm or less.

Thermoplastic polymer composition, molded product, and multilayer structure

A thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising (I) 100 parts by weight of at least one block copolymer formed by addition polymerization which is selected among block copolymers which comprise a polymer block (A) consisting of aromatic vinyl units and a polymer block (B) consisting of conjugated diene compound units and which have been crosslinked in the polymer block (A) preferably with a structural unit derived from a (C&#x2013;Calkyl)styrene and/or functional group and among products of hydrogenation of the copolymers, (II) 10 to 300 parts by weight of a polyolefin, and (III) 0 to 300 parts by weight of a softener (III) for rubbers; and a process for producing the composition. The composition has excellent strain recovery at high temperatures and satisfactory moldability, is flexible, and has satisfactory rubber properties. It is effectively useable in various applications.
