A photographic printing device includes an ink-jet printer with recording paper magazine. The recording paper magazine includes a housing and a humectant. The housing is configured to receive a recording paper. The humectant is provided in order to moisturize the inside of the housing of the magazine. The humectant is preferably placed at an upper portion of the magazine in order to allow efficient moisture transfer by way of natural convection.

Recording paper magazine and ink-jet printer having the same

An optical digital printer comprising a paper storage (PM) for storing photographic paper in roll form, a digital printing unit () having an irradiating surface () for line-exposing the photographic paper based on image data, a developing unit () for developing the photographic paper exposed by the digital printing unit, a transport mechanism for transporting the photographic paper along a paper transport line extending from the paper storage to the developing unit, a first paper accommodating box (RB) disposed between the paper storage (PM) and the digital printing unit (), and a second paper accommodating box (RB) disposed between the digital printing unit and the developing unit (). Photographic paper exposing method and an optical digital printer employing this method

An optical digital printer comprising a paper storage (PM ) for storing photographic paper in roll form, a digital printing unit ( ) having an irradiating surface ( ) for line-exposing the photographic paper based on image data, a developing unit ( ) for developing the photographic paper exposed by the digital printing unit, a transport mechanism for transporting the photographic paper along a paper transport line extending from the paper storage to the developing unit, a first paper accommodating box (RB ) disposed between the paper storage (PM ) and the digital printing unit ( ), and a second paper accommodating box (RB ) disposed between the digital printing unit and the developing unit ( ). The transport mechanism includes a paper loader ( ) for feeding the photographic paper transported from the paper storage into the first paper accommodating box, an exposure control roller ( ) for drawing the photographic paper from the first paper accommodating box and causing the photographic paper to move past the irradiating surface ( ), and, in time of exposure, for causing the photographic paper to move past the irradiating surface while feeding the photographic paper back into the first paper accommodating box, and a paper transport direction switcher ( ) for selectively feeding the photographic paper having moved past the irradiating surface, without being exposed, toward the second paper accommodating box, and feeding the photographic paper having moved past and exposed by the irradiating surface toward the developing unit.

A photographic processing system has a first printing section for printing a film image on photographic paper, a second printing section for printing image data which has been converted into a light signal on the photographic paper, and a common developing section for developing the image exposed on the photographic paper by the first or second printing section. The first printing section and the developing section are disposed adjacent to each other at lower part of the system, and the second printing section is disposed above the first printing section. The second printing section includes a magazine loader unit on which a magazine for setting therein the photographic paper in the form of a roll is mounted with a withdrawal port for the photographic paper opened forward of the system, a first transporter for transporting the photographic paper drawn out from the magazine downward, and a second transporter extending rearward from lower part of the magazine loader unit for transporting the photographic paper transported from the first transporter to the developing section.

Photographic processor

Photosensitive material is printed in a printing/exposure unit of a photoprinting/developing machine with high efficiency. The photoprinting/developing machine includes a printing/developing section, a carrier section and a developing section. The carrier section has a sheet distributor to improve the processing capacity of the developing section. The printing/exposure section has an exposure table. If photosensitive sheets are short enough, three of them are fed onto the exposure table all at once.

Method of printing photosensitive material

A suction feeder can feed photosensitive material sheets of different sizes with the suction force applied thereto kept substantially constant. The suction feeder has a motor-driven endless suction belt having numerous suction holes formed uniformly over the entire area thereof. A suction box is provided under the carrier side of the suction belt and has a belt supporting plate formed with suction holes. A motor-driven blower is connected to the suction box. The suction pressure applied to the suction holes of the suction belt through the suction holes in the belt supporting plate is reduced by reducing the revolving speed of the blower-driving motor with an increase in the size of the photosensitive material sheet fed onto the carrier side of the suction belt. It is thus possible to apply substantially constant suction force to photosensitive material sheets of different sizes.

Suction feeder

A photographic printing apparatus includes an exposure station disposed in a midway region of a transfer path between a transfer inlet and a transfer outlet along which a negative film having magnetic recording tracks provided thereon is transferred forwardly and backwardly. A magnetic read head disposed between the transfer inlet and the exposure station, the magnetic read head being spaced from a center line of the exposure station by a distance which is equal to a sum of an integer multiple of the pitch length of one frame on the negative film and a half of the same.

Photographic printing apparatus with improved component spacing

A negative film masking apparatus for use in printing of a negative film has patterns of latent image data recorded thereon outside of frames and is held between a negative holder and a mask cover for an exposure operation. A view window is provided in one of either of the negative holder and the mask cover to allow each desired one of the latent image patterns of the negative film to be viewed. A light emitter is mounted on the other of the negative holder and the mask cover opposite to the view window.

Negative film masking apparatus

The exposed photosensitive materials are staggered into two lines, while being fed to the developing unit, for higher efficiency in development. The carrier unit B has a staggering unit and a parallel carrier path having a pair of parallel paths. The staggering unit staggers the photosensitive materials into each of two parallel paths alternately while moving in a direction perpendicular to the direction of feed.
