A vehicle control device controls a hybrid vehicle including: an internal combustion engine having an EGR device; an electric drive device that drives the vehicle and performs an engine-based power generation; a power storage device; and a travel route acquisition device. The vehicle include an EV drive mode and an HV drive mode. The vehicle control device is configured to: where the vehicle is started under a cold condition, calculate, based on the travel route information, an average vehicle driving power in a vehicle running section under a warm condition after the start; and limit the amount of power generated by the engine-based power generation in the cold condition to be smaller when the calculated average vehicle driving power is high than when it is low, and, during the HV drive mode after a transition to the warm condition, execute the engine-based power generation accompanied by the EGR.

Vehicle control device

A control system for a hybrid vehicle configured to reduce fuel consumption. A controller is configured to execute a first determination to determine that a required power is less than a reference power, and a second determination to determine that a condition to start an engine is satisfied. If the answers of the first determination and the second determination are YES, a target power of the engine is set to a predetermined power which is greater than the required power, and which can be generated by consuming smaller amount of fuel. Then, the generator is driven by the engine being operated to achieve the predetermined power, and an electric power generated by the generator to be accumulated in a battery is set to a value calculated based on a difference between the target power and the required power.

Control system for hybrid vehicle

A vehicle includes an engine, a motor generator, a battery, and an ECU, and is configured to selectively perform EV running and engine running. When requested power is smaller than reference power, ECU calculates an engine fuel consumption ratio hwhen the engine outputs power resulting from addition of optimal charging power for the battery to the requested power, and determines whether the engine fuel consumption ratio his larger than an EV criterion line resulting from addition of a margin K to a battery equivalent fuel consumption ratio F. When the engine fuel consumption ratio his larger than the EV criterion line, ECU selects EV running, and otherwise selects engine running. The ECU calculates the margin K by referring to an F&#x2212;K map which defines correspondence between the battery equivalent fuel consumption ratio F and the margin K with which an SOC is converged to a target range.

Control of fuel consumption in a hybrid vehicle

A control system comprises a driving mode setting partsetting a driving mode, a fuel consumption rate calculating partcalculating a first fuel consumption rate when outputting power for driving use and a second fuel consumption rate when storing electric power in the battery, a fuel consumption rate correcting partand a driving region judging part. The driving mode setting part sets the driving mode to the EV mode when the first fuel consumption rate is higher than the second fuel consumption rate and sets the driving mode to the engine operating mode when the first fuel consumption rate is lower than the second fuel consumption rate. The fuel consumption rate correcting part performs at least one of first correction raising the first fuel consumption rate and second correction lowering the second fuel consumption rate if the hybrid vehicle is driving through a residential neighborhood.

A travel control device is applied to a hybrid vehicle which includes a planetary gear mechanism capable of distributing power of an internal combustion engine to a first MG and an output part, and a second MG capable of outputting power to the output part. The travel control device allows the vehicle to travel in an acceleration-deceleration travel mode in which, when a high-speed steady travel condition is established during travel of the vehicle, acceleration travel for accelerating the vehicle with power output from the internal combustion engine and coasting travel for allowing the vehicle to coast with the internal combustion engine in a stop state are alternately repeated within a target vehicle speed range. In the travel control device, given power is output from the internal combustion engine at the time of acceleration travel, and the internal combustion engine is controlled such that the vehicle is accelerated at an acceleration such that the rotation speed of the first MG becomes zero.

Travel control device of hybrid vehicle

The procedure of slip detection computes a right wheel speed Vr from a rotation speed Nmof a motor MGdetermined according to a detection result of a rotational position detection sensorand from a left wheel speed Vl measured by a wheel speed sensorattached to a left wheel. A right wheel acceleration ar is calculated from the computed right wheel speed Vr. When the calculated right wheel acceleration ar exceeds a preset reference value arslip, the procedure detects the occurrence of a slip of a right wheel. When a left wheel acceleration al calculated from the obtained left wheel speed Vl exceeds a preset reference value alslip, the procedure detects the occurrence of a slip of the left wheel.

Slip detection apparatus and slip detection method

A rotor includes a rotor core, a permanent magnet inserted into an opening formed along a circumferential direction of the rotor core, and end plates provided to sandwich the rotor core in a direction of a rotation axis. The permanent magnet is fixed to the rotor core with an adhesive. A stainless steel plate is provided between the rotor core and each of the end plates, the stainless steel plate having a linear expansion coefficient falling between that of the rotor core and that of the end plates. An outer periphery of each of the end plates in a circumferential direction has a portion placed to be radially inward with respect to an outer periphery of the stainless steel plate.
