A covering is easily mounted and/or demounted to envelop an overall sliding device with onboard moving-magnet linear motor. The covering helps improved propulsion, high velocity and response of a table even with small in dimension, compact in construction. End blocks are installed in opposite ends of a bed and a linear motor is placed between the bed and the table. The end blocks are made in solid bodies which are tightened to the bed together with a coil board. The end blocks have butting surfaces which can come into abutment against the ends of the table to protect the table from getting out of the bed. The end blocks have locking recesses which mate with locking jaws on the covering to fasten the covering to the end blocks.

Sliding device

A three-dimensional sliding system has an X-table and a Z-table, which are actuated to travel independently of each other. The sliding system is simple in construction and adapted to actuate a movable table with less takt time. A bed has a first flat zone extending in a horizontal direction to carry the X-table thereon, a second flat zone extending in a vertical direction to carry the Z-table thereon, and a third flat zone where the first flat zone merges with the second flat zone. The movable table is laid over the third flat zone and linked with the X-table and the Z-table through linear motion guide units, respectively. Actuations of an X-linear motor in an X-direction and actuation of a Z-linear motor in a Z-direction cause the movable table to move into a targeted position with high precision in the X-direction and in the Z-direction.

Three-dimensional sliding system with onboard linear motor

A sliding system with onboard moving-coil linear motor is disclosed in which an armature assembly is a printed-circuit board, armature windings of flat configuration and coil stay having a stay and any number of cores made integral with the stay. The armature assembly is held by virtue of the stay at a preselected location inside an interval defined between field magnet arrays and, therefore, is small and compact in height in transverse section. A bed formed in an angled hook-like configuration in a transverse section contributes to shrinkage of the sliding system in either of height and width in transverse section or most compactness of the sliding system in transverse dimension. Moreover, the bed can be selected in length at discretion according to the purpose of usage to provide any desirable stroke length for a single table of a preselected length, getting the sliding system convenient for usage.

Sliding system with onboard moving-coil linear motor

A bearing lubricating device, reducing the manufacturing cost and facilitating the dimensional control and the assembly process, comprises a casing provided around an outer ring rotating relatively to a support shaft; and a lubricating member provided in the casing, which is, after the casing has been fitted over the outer periphery of the outer ring, in contact with the outer ring to apply a lubricant contained in the lubricating member to the outer periphery of the outer ring. When the casing is fitted around the outer ring, the lubricating member is in contact with the outer ring in a position either on a line, that extends in parallel to a tangent passing through a contact point between the outer ring and a supported item borne on the outer ring and passes through the center of the outer ring, or on the opposite side of the line to the contact point.

Bearing lubricating device

A position-control stage system is disclosed, which may ensure much space to install the armature assembly on the bed, even with small in dimension. Correspondingly, the position-control stage system itself is made high in propulsion and efficient in operating performances including high-speed traveling, high response, high-precision position-control, and so on, even with compact or slim in construction. Armature windings to provide an armature assembly are made of three-phase coreless windings wound in annular flat configuration, and disposed on the bed radially outside of a rolling-contact bearing in a way closely adjacent to the bearing. Magnets to provide a field magnet array are each made in a segment, and disposed on the turntable in opposition to the armature windings in a way alternating in polarity circularly on a desired circular surface.

Position-control stage system

A position-control stage is disclosed which makes it possible to extend largely an angular movement in circular direction for position control, rendering the stage itself compact in construction, allowing to work with high precision in clean environment and further produce the stage with inexpensive cost. The position-control stage has an onboard linear motor composed of armature windings of primary side and field magnets of secondary side. The armature windings are each made in a hollow rectangle where winding turns are wound in the form of flat loop, and are circularly arranged on a disc surface of the bed along a preselected curvature in such a way lying in radial juxtaposition in circumferential direction. The field magnets are made in a flat shape and arranged underneath the turntable in such a pattern lying radially on a disc surface of the preselected curvature in opposition to the armature windings, with their unlike poles alternating in polarity along a circular direction.

Position-control stage with onboard linear motor

An X-Y stage system is disclosed which is easy to assemble and compact or slim in construction. Both the X- and Y-stages are allowed to move without getting influence from the magnetic force created by the field magnets. The X-Y stage system has an X-stage movable relatively to a bed through a linear motion guide unit in an X-direction, and a Y-stage movable relatively to the X-stage through another linear motion guide unit in a Y-direction. The linear motors to force the X- and Y-stages are composed of paired field magnets of secondary side held to the bed and the Y-stage, respectively, and armature windings of primary side supported on the opposite sides of the X-stage in a way lying in clearances between the opposing field magnets.

X-Y stage system with onboard linear motor

Disclosed a slider unit having built-in a moving-coil linear motor made compact in construction by the provision of an improved magnet yoke for supporting field magnets, which is made in a slim construction, nevertheless very high in stiffness. The magnet yoke is comprised of a pair of confronting webs and a connecting web to connect integrally the confronting webs to each other. The magnet yoke of such integral construction helps ensure the overall high stiffness despite the webs being made thin. Thus, the magnet yoke may be made considerably slim, compared with the prior magnet yoke in which the confronting webs and connecting web are produced individually. A moving-coil assembly is installed to a table movable in a sliding manner through linear motion guide units with respect to a stationary bed.
