The present invention relates to a light-shielding film-attached glass substrate including: a glass substrate; and a light-shielding film having a multilayer structure and being formed on the glass substrate, in which the light-shielding film having a multilayer structure includes: a first chromium oxynitride film (CrON); and a second chromium oxynitride film (CrON), each satisfying the following conditions and being laminated in this order from the glass substrate side: 0.15&#x3c;x&#x3c;0.5, 0.1&#x3c;y&#x3c;0.35, 0.4&#x3c;x&#x3c;0.65, 0.03&#x3c;x&#x3c;0.15, and 0.09&#x3c;y&#x3c;0.25.

The present invention relates to a color cathode ray tube and a glass frit to be used for it, and provides a color cathode ray tube which uses a glass frit containing as a crystallizing filler, an &agr;-4PbO.B O crystal powder and/or a Pb O crystal powder, and corpuscular &agr;-alumina, and at least one member selected from the group consisting of MgO, Fe O and monoclinic ZrO , for improvement of the strength at a sealed portion and for weight saving of the color cathode ray tube, wherein the maximum tensile stress generated at the above sealed portion is from 7 to 10 MPa when the inside is vacuumized, and the area ratio of crystal is at least 50% at the interface at the above sealed portion at at least the region at which the above maximum tensile stress is generated.

Sealing composition

A process of forming a glass sheet by coating a portion of a glass sheet with a ceramic color paste, then forming a silver paste over a portion of the ceramic color paste and then firing the sheet. The ceramic color paste is of a composition which prevents the migration of silver ions to the glass plate during the firing. Migrated silver ions causes discoloration in the glass. The ceramic color composition comprising, as inorganic components, from 40 to 95 wt % of a glass powder, from 4 to 40 wt % of a heat resistant pigment powder and from 1 to 30 wt % of a boride, a nitride, a carbide, lead sulfide or a mixture thereof.
