A headrest side connector unit mounted on a headrest of a vehicle includes a stay as a holder and a connector. The connector includes a projectionto be received in a projection insertion hole formed on the stay. A tip part of the second connector at a side to be connected to the mating connector is disposed further outside of the stay than an end of the stay near a seat. An outer surface of the tip part is arranged on the same plane as an outer surface of the end of the stay.

Connector unit

The present invention is to provide a connector connection apparatus to avoid drop of a connector without increase of cost. The connector connection apparatus includes a holder for receiving therein and holding the connector, a receiving portion main body for receiving therein and holding the holder, and a plate for fixing the holder attached to the receiving portion main body. The receiving portion main body includes a receiving hole having a diameter larger than an outer diameter of the holder and receiving the holder therein. The holder is inserted from an upper opening of the receiving hole into the receiving portion main body. The holder is then held between the plate and the receiving portion main body.

Connector connection apparatus

A connector unitincludes a seat side unit, a headrest side unit, and a guiding mechanism. The seat side unitincludes a first connector. The headrest side unitincludes a second connector. The guiding mechanismincludes a guiding riband a guiding groove. The guiding ribis projected from an outer wall of the first connector. The guiding grooveis concaved from an inner wall of the second connector. When the connectorsare connected to each other, the guiding ribis inserted into the guiding grooveto position the connectorsaround respective axes of the connectors

The connector unit includes: a first holder to be attached to a first article; a first connector to be received in the first holder; a second holder to be attached to a second article; and a second connector to be received in the second holder to be coupled with the first connector, wherein the first holder includes a hold engaging part having an arm body and a projection which engages with the first connector, the connector unit further includes: an engagement-removing part which removes an engagement between the hold engaging part and the first connector when the first and second connectors are coupled with eachother; and an entrance-permitting part provided on the second holder to allow the projection of the disengaged hold engaging part to enter therein after the first and second connectors move with respect to the first holder.

A connection terminal comprises a terminal connection unit and a blade spring. A male terminal is inserted in the terminal connection unit. The blade spring is disposed in the terminal connection unit and press-contacts with the male terminal by means of reacting force generated by flexure deformation thereof. Spring strength of a front area of the blade spring is weaker than that of a rear area of the blade spring, wherein the front area is located at one side of the blade spring from which the male terminal is inserted in the terminal connection unit.

Connection terminal

A battery connector is constituted by a battery terminal, a fitting portion, a terminal cover, an opening portion and an operation member. The battery terminal is connected to a wire and has the fitting portion which has an aperture enough to be loosely fitted to the battery post. The terminal cover receives the battery terminal therein and has the opening portion for the battery terminal to fit to the battery post therethrough. The operation member is movably attached to the terminal cover, and fastens the battery terminal to the battery post by reducing the aperture of the fitting portion loosely fitted to the battery post. Therefore, the battery connector is pressure-fixed to the battery post.

Battery connector

A connector is provided, by which terminal fittings can be securely electrically connected to each other and a connector housing is provided, by which a terminal fittings in a mating connector housing can be securely electrically connected to a terminal fittings received in the connector housing. A connector having a lock security mechanism includes a female housing and male housing. The female housing includes a body part for receiving a male terminal and a tube-shaped bushing. A first rib protruding from the outer surface of the bushing is provided. The male housing includes a body part for receiving a female terminal and a tube-shaped bushing. A second rib protruding from the inner surface of the bushing is provided. When the female housing is coupled with the male housing, the first rib comes in contact with the second rib.

Connector and connector housing

A connector is provided, by which an undesirable connection between housings of an improper product number can be prevented, and a connector housing is provided, by which an undesirable connection to a connector housing of an improper product number can be prevented. The connector having a lock security mechanism includes a female housing having a body part for receiving a male terminal and male housing having a body part receiving a female terminal and a bushing. The bushing is formed with a plurality of peripheral walls, one of which is provided with a notch. The body part of the male housing is inserted into the female housing and the female housing is inserted into the bushing, thereby the two housings are coupled with each other.

A waterproof connector consists of a female housing and a male housing which are to be coupled with other. The male housing includes a body accommodating female terminals, a cover and a packing . The cover includes a plurality of peripheral walls and a wall . The wall has a recess . A protrusion is provided at the inner edge of the recess close to a packing . The protrusion protrudes from the inner edge of the recess close to the packing toward the female housing. The protrusion is arranged between the recess and packing . The one end of the packing is located between the protrusion and the body . In this configuration, the waterproof connector can prevent water from permeating into a contact portion between terminal metal fittings.

Water-proof connector and connector housing therefor

In order to ensure whether a first housing and a second housing which constitute a connector are completely engaged with each other, a locking member is provided in the first housing, and a locking arm is provided in the second housing. A lock ensuring member is provided so as to be supported by the locking arm movably in the extending direction of the locking arm between a first position closer to the first housing and a second position farther from the first housing, and such that the locking ensuring member is moved toward the second position when the first housing and the second housing are completely engaged with each other. An engaging operation of the housings is started in a state that the lock ensuring member is placed at the first position. The lock ensuring member is moved toward the first position after the engaging operation is completed.

Connector provided with lock ensuring mechanism

A connector housing is formed with a chamber into which a terminal is inserted. A retention member is formed in the chamber so as to retain the inserted terminal therein. The retention member is formed by a first portion of a mold which molds the housing. An inspection member is formed on an outer face of the housing for inspecting molding defect of the retention member. The inspection member is formed by a second portion of the mold having a higher flow resistance than the first portion of the mold.

Connector housing having thin-walled portion to facilitate inspection and method of manufacturing the same

A terminal body is made of a conductive, resilient strip extending while forming an annular fitting portion having a first diameter which is smaller than a diameter of a battery post. An operating member is fitted with both end portions of the strip so as to movable between a first position in which the strip is retained such that the annular fitting portion has a second diameter which is larger than the diameter of the battery post, against a restoring force of the resilient strip, and a second position in which the restoring force is released. The battery post is fitted into the annular fitting portion of the terminal body while placing the operating member in the first position. The operating member is placed in the second position, after the terminal body is fitted on the battery post.

Battery terminal

The connector checker has a main body with a block accommodating a plurality of detection pins movable forward and backward in the block each for detecting an incorrect insertion state of a terminals which is inserted in a terminal accommodation chamber of a connector by inserting the detection pin into the terminal accommodation chamber. The checker main body has a plurality of through holes vertically elongated in section and a plurality of through holes horizontally elongated in section, and the vertically elongated through holes are disposed to partially overlap with the horizontally elongated through holes to define a plurality of rectangular openings. Through one of the rectangular openings, the detection pin is inserted so as to adequately limit vertical and horizontal movements of the detection pin within the terminal accommodation chamber.

Connector checker

In a structure for connecting a battery terminal to a battery post of a battery, a terminal body has a U-shaped curved portion which is formed between a distal end portion and a proximal end portion of the battery terminal. A retaining portion, at which the distal end portion of the battery terminal is retained, is provided in the vicinity of the battery post. Locking members lock the proximal end portion of the battery terminal in a position where the proximal end portion has been pivoted in a leverage manner while the distal end portion is retained in the retaining portion as a fulcrum, and while the U-shaped curved portion is press-fitted onto an outer periphery of the battery post.

Structure for connecting battery terminal

In a connector examination instrument, a connector support member and an examination instrument body are provided for movement toward and away from each other, and examination pins are slidably mounted within the examination instrument body, and are spring biased toward the connector support member. Each of the examination pins includes a conducting contact surface for contact with an associated metal terminal within a connector, and an incomplete insertion-detecting projection for insertion into a flexure space for an elastic retaining piece portion for retaining the metal terminal. Each of the examination pins comprises a shank, having an exposed distal end serving as the conducting contact surface, and an insulative shaped member which is fixedly secured to the distal end portion of the shank, and has the incomplete insertion-detecting projection.
