A contact preventing a plurality of current paths joining together and having a contact main body having a wire fixing portion and a contacting member which is a member formed separately from the contact main body is provided. The contact has a contact main body having a wire fixing portion to which a wire is fixed and a contacting member formed separately from the contact main body and configured to be connected to the wire and contact with a mating contact. A portion of the contact main body, contacting with the contacting member has an insulation layer.

Contact

An LED connector assembly having a LED module, a base. and a connector. The LED module includes a substrate provided with a conductor pattern and an LED device disposed on a surface of the substrate and connecting to the conductor pattern. The base includes an attachment side larger than the LED module and attaching with the LED module such that a bottom surface of the LED module faces the attachment side. The connector that includes a housing fixed to the base, wherein the housing includes a cylindrical section with a conductor receiving passageway at a tip thereof to which the cylindrical section penetrates the base from the attachment side there through, and a contact having one end that connects to the conductor pattern and extend inside the cylindrical section for connection with an electrical wire insertable into the cylindrical section.

A contact has a spring section, and a pair of contact points. The spring section is formed as a single closed loop of material, prepared from Ni alloy. The loop may be subjected to elastic deformation through force. The pair of contact points formed in such way that the contact points project outwardly at positions separated from one another, the contact points positioned by about half way around the loop of the spring section. The pair of contact points capable of meeting with and coming into with terminals.

Connector assembly, receptacle type connector, and interface apparatus

The present invention provides a connector assembly which allows the easy replacement of easily damaged female contacts, and which can be used in data transfer systems such as communications devices that transmit data signals at a high speed. The connector assembly comprises a first connector having a plurality of first boards which have conductors formed on the surfaces thereof, a second connector having a plurality of second boards which have conductors formed on the surfaces thereof, and a relay connector which is attached to the first connector or second connector. A plurality of female contacts having first female contact portions that contact the conductors of the first boards and second female contact portions that contact the conductors of the second boards are press-fitted in the relay connector.

Connector assembly

The module-type connector according to the present invention defines the connectable connectors with a rigid supporting plate which extends along the connecting direction in order to make it easy to properly fit a male connector to a female connector. In the module-type connector, the contacting portions of the contacts that are shifted in the separation direction of the corresponding terminal with which the contacting portions contact are almost uniformly distributed. Further, the male connector that receives a preliminary load from different levels in the direction so that opposing elastic contacting portions are widened by engaging between the first end portion of each contact within a housing and the different levels of the housing, has at least a protruding portion that protrudes from the contacting surface of the plurality of contacts toward the contacting surface thereof and that is provided between contacts.
