A welded structure including a base material made of duplex stainless steel and a welded portion formed by welding the base materials to each other, wherein the base material has a predetermined chemical composition, a volume fraction of a ferrite phase in a metallographic structure of a weld metal of the welded portion is 45 to 75%, a ratio of a hardness of the weld metal to a hardness of the base material is 0.80 to 1.20, and an amount of precipitates formed in the ferrite phase of the weld metal is less than 10% in area fraction.

Ferritic stainless steel sheet which is excellent in ridging resistance which comprises, by mass %, Cr: 10 to 30%, Sn: 0.005 to 1%, C: 0.001 to 0.1%, N: 0.001 to 0.1%, Si: 0.01 to 3.0%, Mn: 0.01 to 3.0%, P: 0.005 to 0.1%, and S: 0.0001 to 0.01% and has a balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities and which has an X-ray diffraction strength in the {100}&#x3c;012&#x3e; orientation from a surface layer to t/4 ('t' is sheet thickness) of 2 or more.

Method of producing ferritic stainless steel sheet

The present invention provides a low-alloy high-purity ferritic stainless steel sheet provided with improved oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength by utilizing Sn addition in trace amounts without relying on excessive alloying of Al and Si which reduces fabricability and weldability or addition of rare elements such as Nb, Mo, W, and rare earths, and a process for producing the same. The high-purity ferritic stainless steel sheet includes C: 0.001 to 0.03%, Si: 0.01 to 2%, Mn: 0.01 to 1.5%, P: 0.005 to 0.05%, S: 0.0001 to 0.01%, Cr: 16 to 30%, N: 0.001 to 0.03%, Al: 0.05 to 3%, and Sn: 0.01 to 1% (% by mass), with the remainder being Fe and unavoidable impurities. A stainless steel slab having such steel components is heated, wherein an extraction temperature is 1100 to 1250&#xb0; C., and a winding temperature after hot rolling is 650&#xb0; C. or lower. A hot-rolled sheet is annealed at 900 to 1050&#xb0; C., and cooled at 10&#xb0; C./sec or less over a temperature range of 550 to 850&#xb0; C.

High-purity ferritic stainless steel sheet with excellent oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength, and process for producing the same

A ferritic stainless steel sheet having ridging resistance contains, by mass, 0.025 to 0.30% C, 0.01 to 1.00% Si, 0.01 to 2.00% Mn, 0.050% or less P, 0.020% or less S, 11.0 to 22.0% Cr, and 0.022 to 0.10% N. In addition, Ap, which is defined as 420C+470N+23Ni+9Cu+7Mn&#x2212;11.5(Cr+Si)&#x2212;12Mo&#x2212;52Al&#x2212;47Nb&#x2212;49Ti+189 wherein each of Sn, C, N, Ni, Cu, Mn, Cr, Si, Mo, Al, Nb, and Ti denotes the content of the element, satisfies 10&#x2266;Ap&#x2266;70. Furthermore, a content of Sn satisfies 0.060&#x2266;Sn&#x2266;0.634&#x2212;0.0082Ap. Residual ingredients are Fe and unavoidable impurities, and a metal structure of the steel sheet is a ferrite single phase. The ferritic stainless steel sheet has a ridging height of less than 6 &#x3bc;m. This ferritic stainless steel sheet improves the corrosion resistance and rust resistance of Cr-containing ferritic stainless steel as well as the ridging resistance.

High purity ferritic stainless steel sheet excellent in corrosion resistance and anti-glare property

The present invention also provides a method of producing the ferritic stainless steel.

High-purity ferritic stainless steels excellent in corrosion resistance and method of production of same

Ferrite-austenite stainless steel sheet for structural component excellent in workability and impact-absorbing property and method for producing the same
