A paper money input and output device includes a money input unit to which paper money is paid in, a money output unit which releases paper money to the exterior of the device, a plurality of recirculation cases which, along with storing paper money, also output stored paper money to the money output unit, a collection case which can store paper money from the money input unit or the plurality of recirculation cases, and a rejected-for-payout case which stores money which has been paid out from the recirculation cases and which has been rejected for outpayment; and, along with these units being arranged so that the thickness direction of the paper money which they receive is in the same direction, and along with them being provided in a stacked state in that direction, on one side only of a direction which is orthogonal with respect to the direction along which the money input unit, the money output unit, the collection case, the rejected-for-payout case, and the recirculation cases are provided in a stacked state, and a conveyance unit is provided which connects them together.

Paper money input and output device

A money receiving and disbursing machine being adapted to circulate and use only one predetermined denomination of bank notes received in the machine for disbursing. Bank notes received in the machine other than the predetermined denomination of bank notes are introduced in the received money storage section for storing. In the money receiving process, bank notes are introduced into the machine through the transaction window device. The bank notes are introduced and stored in the circulating money storage section or the received money storage section in accordance with the denominations thereof through the discriminating route and distributing route. In money disbursing process, bank notes are picked out of the circulating money storage section or disbursing money storage section in accordance with a monetary amount of a disbursement order and introduced into the temporary hold section through the money disbursing route and the common route. The bank notes are disbursed through the transaction window device. An abnormal condition occurs in the disbursing bank notes during the money disbursing process, bank note judged as an abnormal condition is introduced and stored in the reject box section through the common route section and the reject route section.

Money receiving and disbursing machine

A circulation-type bill receiving and dispensing machine reuses received bills for dispensing. It has a bill receiving and dispensing port and operating section at both sides of the machine. The bill receiving and dispensing machine includes separate bill discriminating sections each of which is arranged on each received-bill transferring route of the bill receiving and dispensing ports of the two sides for the exclusive use of that port. Thus the bill receiving and dispensing machine of the present invention can be operated at the same time from both sides. Accordingly, a customer can deposit bills at any time even if the machine is being operated in the bill receiving mode by the teller.

Recirculation-type bill receiving and dispensing machine

A foreign substance disposing device for a money receiving and disbursing machine comprising stationary clip plates for clipping the bills therebetween, movable clip plate for clipping the bills, pick out rollers for picking out the bills which are clipped between the stationary and movable clip plates, a pick out motor for controlling an operation of the pick out rollers, a detection coil provided on a circuit board for producing a change in impedance in response to passing of the bills, impedance detector for detecting the change in the impedance of the coil, controller for judging whether or not the bills passing the coil are accompanied by a foreign substance based on signals from the impedance detector and for providing the pick out rollers with a control signal for preventing the pick out rollers from picking the bills out when a foreign substance is detected, and alarm for receiving signals from the controller and producing an alarm signal.

Bill disbursing system

A foreign substance disposing device is disclosed for a money receiving and disbursing machine. The machine comprises a bill receiving section for receiving a stack of bills to be processed in. The machine, pick out rollers for picking out the bills one by one from the stack transfer rollers for transferring the stack of bills from the bill receiving section to the pick out rollers, and transfer driver for driving the transfer rollers a detecting roller is swingably provided between the bill receiving means and the pick out rollers to produce a swingable movement in response to an undulation of the surface of the stack of bills as the bills are transferred. A potentiometer is provided for producing a signal in response to the swingable movement of the detecting roller, and a control device is provided for judging whether or not the bills received in the machine are accompanied by a foreign substance based on the signal from the potentiometer and for controlling the transfer driver to return the bills to the bill receiving section when a foreign substance is detected as a result of the judgment.

Foreign substance disposing device for money receiving and disbursing

A bill receiving and dispensing machine in which a bill containing mechanism is mounted on the back of a front door of the machine body for improving handling of bills contained within the machine body. The bill receiving and dispensing machine enables easy exposure of the bill containing components merely by opening a front door for carrying out inspection, additional charging of bills, and maintenance of the main components of the machine. According to the bill receiving and dispensing machine of the present invention, the received bills are transferred to the discriminating route and a part of the bills discriminated as 'genuine' are held in the circulating-bill pooling section as bills for dispensation and the other genuine bills are transferred above the received-bill box mounted on the front door and then directly dropped into the box through the top opening thereof. Since the bill containing apparatus or the received-bill box can be opened simultaneously with the opening of the front door, the front inside of the machine body behind the bill containing apparatus is exposed merely by opening the front door. This makes it easy to inspect the circulating-bill pooling section and to charge additional bills.

Bill receiving and dispensing machine

A bill receiving and dispensing machine of 'specific type of bill circulation-type' which can reuse, as bills for dispensation, only one specific type of bills among all types of received bills. According to the machine of the present invention, only one type of bills among all types of received bills is circulated through a circulating-bill pooling section for reuse as bills for dispensation and the dispensation bills other than the circulating bills are held in a dispensation bill container and the received bills and the dispensation bills are held in three limited sections, i.e. a circulating-bill pooling section, a received-bill container and a dispensation bill container. This makes it possible to eliminate the special bill pooling sections and the bill feeding-out mechanisms which are used in the conventional machines and therefore to simplify the mechanism and to reduce the noise during the operation thereof. Also according to the present machine, a common route, an accumulating route, a bill deliverer and a transaction port are so designed that they are always commonly used in both the bill receiving and bill-type separating mode and the bill dispensing mode. This makes it possible to effectively utilize the space within the machine body and thus to reduce the volume of the machine body.
