When tires of a vehicle equipped with two front tires and four rear tires are to be replaced, a life amount L, which serves as an indicator for tire replacement, is grasped for the front and rear tires of a plurality of vehicles that are to be tire replacement targets. Information processing system, and its power-saving control method and device

A semiconductor device having a chip-on-chip structure is constituted of a first semiconductor chip and even-numbered pairs of second semiconductor chips, all of which are laminated together on the surface of an interposer. The first semiconductor chip controls each pair of the second semiconductor chips so as to activate one second semiconductor chip while inactivating another second semiconductor chip. The second semiconductor chips are paired together in such a way that through-vias and electrodes thereof are positioned opposite to each other via bumps. Since drive voltage electrodes supplied with a drive voltage (VDD) and reference potential electrodes supplied with a reference potential (VSS) are mutually connected together between the paired second semiconductor chips, it is possible to increase the overall electrostatic capacitance of each second semiconductor chip so as to substantially reduce feed noise without increasing the overall layout area of the semiconductor device.

Semiconductor device

A technique capable of achieving both improvement of mounting density and noise reduction for a semiconductor device is provided. An LSI mounted on a printed wiring board comprises a grounding BGA ball and a power BGA ball to get power supply from the printed wiring board, and the grounding BGA ball and the power BGA ball are arranged closely to each other. A decoupling capacitor is mounted on the printed wiring board and has a first terminal and a second terminal. The grounding BGA ball and the first terminal are connected by a first metal electrode plate, and the power BGA ball and the second terminal are connected by a second metal electrode plate. The first metal electrode plate and the second metal electrode plate interpose a dielectric film having a thickness equal to or smaller than 1 &#x3bc;m therebetween.

High density mounting and power source sharing are achieved by a digital semiconductor element and an analog semiconductor element provided in a common semiconductor device. A power layer for analog operation is connected to one end of an EBG (Electromagnetic Band Gap) layer, a power layer for digital operation is connected to the other end of the EBG layer, ground terminals for the respective elements are connected to a common ground layer, and a ground layer for separating the power layer for analog operation and the EBG layer from each other is disposed between the power layer for analog operation and the EBG layer. Thereby, high density mounting is achieved along with reducing interference of the power source to an analog chip.

An object of the present invention is to provide a process of producing alkoxysilanes, which does not use a chlorosilane as the intermediate raw material, is improved in view of the environment, and is satisfactory with respect to the yield of a desired material. The present invention is concerned with a process of producing an alkoxysilane including hydrosilylating (A) an organosilicon compound having at least one hydrogen-silicon bond and at least one alkoxy group and (B) an organic compound having a carbon&#x2014;carbon unsaturated bond in vapor phase in the presence of a mixture containing a hydrosilylation catalyst and a polyalkylene glycol and supported on a carrier, thereby adding hydrogen and silicon of the compound (A) to the carbon&#x2014;carbon unsaturated bond in the compound (B).

Provided is a recording method for image formation on a recording medium by application thereon of an ink containing a water-soluble dye having an anionic group or a cationic group in the molecule: the recording medium comprising a substance having an ionic group counter to the anionic or cationic group of the water-soluble dye and having molecular weight of not higher than 1,000, and a polymeric substance having molecular weight of not lower than 2,000.

A cast coated paper for ink jet recording is prepared by a process including the steps of: forming on a base paper an undercoating layer containing alumina having a bulk density of at most 0.2 g/cm.sup.3 and an adhesive, applying onto the undercoating layer an overcoating liquid containing a resin to form a wet overcoating layer, and pressing the wet overcoating layer against a heated drum having a mirror-finished surface to dry the overcoating layer, thereby forming a cast-coating layer. A cast coated paper for ink jet recording is constituted to include, in lamination: a base paper, an undercoating layer comprising a pigment and an adhesive, and a cast-coating layer comprising a polymer having a glass transition point of at least 40.degree. C. formed by polymerization of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer. The cast coated paper is preferably controlled to have an air permeability of at most 300 sec/100 cc. The undercoating preferably contains a cationic resin, particularly preferably a copolymer of a polyalkylenepolyamine and dicyandiamide. The cast coated paper thus produced with an excellent ink absorptivity suitable for ink jet recording while retaining a high surface gloss.

A recording paper comprising pulp fibers and a filler has a surface where pulp fibers bared to the surface and pulp fibers covered with particles are present together in portions. The quantity of ink transfer at a minimum ink-shoot time interval for adjacent dots with different colors as measured by Bristow's test method is not smaller than a maximum shot-in ink quantity per unit area of recording system used.
