When a clipping member is fitted onto the outer peripheral surface of a sealing member, the tightening margin for elastic fitting is provided to the sealing member by the fastening force of the clipping member. In this case, the clipping member includes an opening portion formed to have a partial separation in the circumferential direction and is formed from a metallic material approximately in a C shape having an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the sealing member. Also in the case where a permanent set occurs in the rubber elastic body (the sealing member) as time passes, the clipping member is reduced in diameter by the elastic restoring force of itself. Accordingly, the tightening margin for elastic fitting to the stabilizer bar can be continuously provided to the sealing member.

Stabilizer bushing

A joint boot which is made of resin comprising a small-diameter cylinder part, a large-diameter cylinder part and a bellows part interlinking both is molded by injection blow molding. While forming the bellows part by blow molding, the exterior boundary between an injection molding section and a blow molding section is set in a cutout portion formed in a shoulder portion of the recess for fixation.

Method of producing joint boot made of resin

In a joint boot to be mounted on an outer housing having a non-circular outer contour, intended to axial positioning without impairing the mountability to the outer housing. The joint boot () comprises a boot body () including a large-diameter attachment part (), a small-diameter attachment part () and a bellows part (), and a bushing () interposed between the outer housing and the large-diameter attachment part. The bushing assumes on its outer peripheral surface a circular form in cross-section and is provided, on its inner peripheral part to be externally fitted and fixed to the outer housing, with plural lobe portions () in a circumferentially distributed manner. On the inner peripheral surface of the bushing, protrusions () mating with circumferentially extending grooves () formed on the outer peripheral surface of the outer casing are provided in a position deviating from an external fitting area (Q) by the large-diameter attachment part in the axial direction of the bushing.

Joint boot

A joint boot, wherein sealing performance of a large-diameter attachment part to an outer casing is enhanced, includes a large-diameter attachment part, a small-diameter attachment partand a bellows part. The large-diameter attachment partis provided on its inner periphery with plural convex portionsand constructed to be capable of externally fitting in plural recessed portionsformed on the outer periphery of the outer casing. The large-diameter attachment partand the bellows part are formed in separate bodies, and a fit cylinder partis extended at one extremity of the bellows part. The convex portionsinclude each an inner wall portionjutting radially inwardly in a curved form, an outer wall portionin an arc form constituting part of the outer periphery surface of the large-diameter attachment part, a central strut wallA connecting both in the circumferential middles of both, and a pair of lateral strut wallsB,B connecting the inner and outer wall portions on both sides of the central strut wall, thereby forming four relief holesA,A,A,A circumferentially juxtaposed on the convex portions.
