A portable device integrates a small dc motor. The mounting structure of the motor allows an easy installation of the motor and to lower an electric noise level substantially. An insulating first elastic member and a conductive second elastic member are disposed around outside of a motor frame. While leaf-spring type motor-terminals are conductive to feeding terminals of a device, the motor frame is shorted by the second elastic member to a grounding terminal of the device.

A motor includes (a) a cylindrical frame made of ferromagnetic material, (b) a pipe fitted in and disposed within the frame concentrically, (c) a sintered bearing press-fitted into the pipe, (d) a cylindrical magnet fixed on an outer wall of the pipe at an inner wall of the magnet, and (e) a cylindrical coil facing the magnet via an annular space, where the frame and the pipe are welded at a fitted section therebetween. This structure allows the motor to withstand a strong enough shock. An apparatus requiring a vibration motor can employ this motor having a large vibrator, so that great vibrations are available for the apparatus. As a result, the apparatus&mdash;utilizing the great vibrations as various functions&mdash;is obtainable.

Micro-motor and apparatus using the same motor

A slim motor good for a portable device includes a frame, pipe, magnet, coil, shaft, first bearing and a second bearing (inside bearing). The pipe is disposed on an inner wall of the cylindrical magnet, and an outer diameter of the second bearing is set at approx. the same as that of the pipe. The second bearing is aligned to the pipe in an axial direction and fixed on the inner wall of the magnet. This structure allows the magnet to extend axially long enough, and solves conventional problems including power consumption, slant of the shaft, motor efficiency, productivity and the like, thereby contributing to achieving a slimmer motor and a slimmed-down device.

An electromagnetic vibrator includes a vibration generating mechanism; a case for containing at least part of the vibration generating mechanism; a power supply terminal for supplying power to the vibration generating mechanism, protruding from the case; an elastic body covering at least part of the case; and an elastic pressing body deformable under pressure, formed in part of the elastic body. When the electromagnetic vibrator is incorporated into a device, part of the device presses the case. Correspondingly, the elastic pressing body presses the power supply terminal toward a power supply land disposed on the device side, and the power supply terminal contacts the power supply land thereby electrically connecting itself to the power supply land. With this construction is provided a highly reliable electromagnetic vibrator and device incorporating the electromagnetic vibrator with electric connections having high vibration resistance and impact resistance.

A slender-type cylindrical coreless motor for use in battery driven equipment in which power-consumption is low, high reliability is achieved, miniaturization and long-term battery driving of the equipment are realized. The slender-type cylindrical coreless motor includes: a pipe (2) with one end fixed to a frame (1); a cylindrical magnet (3) disposed around the outer surface of the pipe (2); and an inner bearing (7) for holding a fixed portion of a shaft (5) to a rotor assembly body (4). A second end portion of the pipe (2) has a length that does not permit protrusion thereof from an end surface (3b) of the magnet (3), and the inner bearing (7) is located at the end surface (3b) of the magnet (3) concentrically with the outer diameter of the magnet. Portions of the inner bearing (7) and the end surface facing each other are joined with solder material, and portions of the pipe (2) and the magnet (3) facing each other are joined with solder material.

Slender-type cylindrical coreless motor and battery driven equipment

In a motor mounting mechanism, a cylindrical motor includes a frame (6) serving as a stator and an electric power supply terminal (2) attached to a bottom surface of a bracket (1). When the motor is mounted to a motor attachment device, a first external electrode (10) is mechanically and electrically connected to a cylindrical side surface of the frame (6) while a second external electrode (11) is mechanically and electrically connected to the power supply terminal (2). The first and second external electrodes are both located outside the motor, and thus, the process of providing lead wires for connecting the external electrodes to the printed board can be omitted, allowing the total size of the motor mounting mechanism to be reduced.

Motor mounting mechanism for a cylindrical vibration motor

A miniature motor includes a frame which has been solder treated on its surface and which has a closed end and is generally cylindrical-shaped or generally oval-shaped in cross section. The frame includes a projected portion of an outer periphery thereof for insertion into a hole of a printed circuit board. The projecting portion has a notch for holding the printed circuit board therein, wherein the printed circuit board and the projected portion extending through the hole of the printed circuit board are soldered to each other with solder while the printed circuit board is held in the notch of the projected portion.
