An ink supply apparatus includes a first ink tank, a second ink tank, a first flow path configured to connect the first ink tank and the second ink tank, a volume change unit disposed on the first flow path, configured to be able to change an internal volume of its own, and allow ink to flow thereinto from the first flow path when the internal volume is expanded and to flow out to the first flow path when the internal volume is reduced, a first opening and closing unit disposed between the first ink tank and the volume change unit, and a second opening and closing unit disposed between the second ink tank and the volume change unit.

Ink supply apparatus and ink jet recording apparatus

A first ink tank, and a second ink tank including a first chamber having an ink inlet port and a second chamber having a sensing unit are provided. The ink inlet port is provided at a position so that a volume of the second ink tank above a second height does not become smaller than an amount of ink volume change in the second chamber when the ink volume is changed from a first height which is a height of the ink surface when a minimum volume of ink is in the second ink tank under normal usage to a second height which is a height of the ink inlet port.

Inkjet recording apparatus

A liquid container and an apparatus in which the liquid container is mountable are provided, the liquid container and the apparatus enabling the presence or absence of remaining liquid to be checked without the need for a power source and even after the liquid container is removed. The pressure in a communication path is maintained while ink in a containing section is not supplied to the exterior. Thus, the displacement state of a detection valve which is displaced depending on the pressure in the communication path can be maintained even after removal of an ink tank.

Liquid container and apparatus in which liquid container is mountable

An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head which includes an ejection surface having a plurality of ejection ports which eject ink, a wiping unit which includes a wiping member which wipes the ejection surface and a reeling unit which reels the wiping member, a remaining amount obtaining unit which obtains a remaining amount of the wiping member, and a use amount estimation unit which estimates a use amount of the wiping member in accordance with recording data. The inkjet recording apparatus controls a wiping operation performed by the wiping unit in accordance with the remaining amount and the estimated use amount.

Inkjet recording device and method for controlling the same

A liquid container enables a liquid contained in a liquid containing chamber to be supplied to an exterior through a supply port. The liquid container includes a first channel, a second channel, and a communication path. The first channel is in communication with a first opening which opens into the liquid containing chamber. The second channel is in communication with a second opening which opens into the liquid containing chamber, the second opening being positioned above the first opening in a direction of gravitational force. The communication path allows the first channel and the second channel to communicate with each other outside the liquid containing chamber to permit a flow of the liquid.

A printing apparatus is provided with an ink tank mounting portion for mounting an ink tank, the ink tank mounting portion being capable of mounting a first ink tank and a second ink tank shorter in length than the first ink tank. The ink tank mounting portion includes an operation lever provided with a first pressing portion for pressing the first ink tank in the mounting direction at the time of mounting the first ink tank and a second pressing portion for pressing the second ink tank in the mounting direction at the time of mounting the second ink tank. By operating the operation lever, the pressing portion for pressing the ink tank to be mounted is switched between the first pressing portion and the second pressing portion depending on whether the ink tank to be mounted is the first ink tank or the second ink tank.

Printing apparatus

An ink tank includes an ink supply connection port connected to a main body of a recording apparatus for supplying ink thereto, a first ink reservoir reserving the ink supplied to a sub-tank, a first ink delivery passage supplying the ink reserved in the first ink reservoir to the ink supply connection port, a one-way valve disposed in the first ink delivery passage that enables the ink to move from the first ink reservoir to the ink supply connection port, a second ink reservoir reserving the ink returned from the sub-tank, and a second ink delivery passage supplying the ink reserved in the second ink reservoir to the ink supply connection port and joins with the first ink delivery passage at a position between the one-way valve and the ink supply connection port.

Ink tank and recording apparatus

A liquid discharging apparatus includes a liquid container having an information storage portion configured to store information and a supply port for supplying liquid in the liquid container to the outside and a movable member having the liquid container attached thereon. After the connection between the supply port and the apparatus is severed while the movable member moves from a first position to a second position, information is written in the information storage portion. The second position is set such that the time required for the movable member to move from the first position to the second position is longer than or equal to the time required for the information communication.

Liquid discharging apparatus

A laminating apparatus includes a lamination object conveying unit for conveying an object, a laminating film conveying unit for conveying the laminating film, and a heating-pressurizing unit for overlapping the object with the laminating film, and heating and pressurizing the object and the laminating film. A heat dissipating unit is disposed downstream from the heating-pressurizing unit in a conveying direction, with the heat dissipating unit dissipating heat from the object and the laminating film overlapped by the heating-pressurizing unit. In addition, a heating-pressurizing releasing unit releases the heating-pressurizing by the heating-pressurizing unit.
