A drive force distributing device includes first and second rollers rotatable jointly with main a drive wheel system and a subordinate drive wheel system, respectively. Control of the drive force distribution between the main drive wheels and the subordinate drive wheels is performed by adjusting an inter-roller pressing force. A structural body suppresses turning of one of the first and second rollers at a predetermined position. A reference position setting mechanism turns either one of the first and second rollers to turn in one direction, detects a position at which the turn is suppressed by the structural body, and sets a reference position based on the detected position. A turning amount of one of the first and second rollers is detected with respect to the reference position set by the reference position setting mechanism and the control of drive force distributing is performed based on the detected turning amount.

A traction transmission capacity control device includes a one-direction turning-stop-position detecting means configured to detect a position at which the turning of a second roller stops after a second-roller turning means starts to turn the second roller in one direction; an another-direction turning-stop-position detecting means configured to detect a position at which the turning of the second roller stops after the second-roller turning means starts to turn the second roller in another direction; and a second-roller turning-motion reference-point setting means configured to set a center position between the position detected by the one-direction turning-stop-position detecting means and the position detected by the another-direction turning-stop-position detecting means, as a turning-motion reference point of the second roller. The traction transmission capacity control device is configured to perform a traction transmission capacity control based on a second-roller turning amount given from the turning-motion reference point of the second roller.

A roller frictional transmission unit includes: a first roller; a second roller; an input shaft connected with a driving system of main driving wheels, and connected with one of the first roller and the second roller; an output shaft connected with a driving system of auxiliary driving wheels, and connected with the other of the first roller and the second roller; a thrust bearing arranged to position an input shaft side rotation section including the one of the first roller and the second roller and the input shaft, or an output shaft side rotation section including the other of the first roller and the second roller and the output shaft, with respect to a unit housing in an axial direction; and a low rigidity structure disposed in a thrust transmission path to the thrust bearing, and arranged to buffer a thrust.

Under control of rotation of a crankshaft, a friction rolleris pressed against a friction rollerin a radial direction, so as to achieve torque transmission between the rollers. An inter-roller radial pressing reaction is canceled as an internal force in bearing supports, with no input to a housing. Each bearing supportis formed with a constricted portion at a center section of the bearing support between bearing-fitting portions at end sections of the bearing support, for lowering support stiffness of the bearing support against the inter-roller radial pressing reaction.
