Rotary pump comprising a housing having a bore and a first adjacent lateral side wall having at least one inlet slit and a second adjacent lateral side wall having at least one outlet slit of at least equal size to said inlet slit for flow of medium axially therethrough, said slits in said lateral side walls defining the path of flow for said medium from said inlet axially directly into said bore and then from said bore axially directly to said outlet slit, a rotor mounted in the bore for rotation about an axis generally parallel to and eccentric to the bore axis, a plurality of vanes pivotally mounted on the periphery of the rotor having free ends in sliding sealing contact with said bore, each vane having lateral surfaces having an inner edge facing the rotor and an outer edge facing the bore which edges on rotation of the rotor pass over an inner boundary edge of the inlet and outlet slits facing the bore of the housing, said inlet slit and outlet slit, curving along an arc around the rotational axis of rotor and extending in such a way that the trailing end of the inlet slit and the leading end of the inlet slit are disposed adjacent a central plane passing through the axis of the bore of the housing and the rotational axis of the rotor.

Rotary pump

A piston pump assembly comprising a housing, a piston member mounted for axial movement in a bore of the said housing forming a piston chamber, and arranged coaxially relative to a drive shaft, said piston comprising a thin-walled member of generally cup shaped configuration, cam means associated with said drive shaft disposed in the recess of said cup shaped piston and cam follower means associated with said piston operatively connected to said cam means whereby rotation of said shaft effects through said cam and cam follower means axial back and forth movement of said piston in said piston chamber.

Axial piston pump

Rotary piston assembly comprising a housing having a bore, a piston rotatably mounted in the housing, a plurality of slide vanes distributed about the circumference of said piston, each slide vane supported for pivotal movement about an axis parallel to the axis of rotation of said piston, said slide vanes operable to pivot and engage the bore of the housing during rotation of the piston due the effect of centrifugal force, each of said slide vanes being of arcuate, vane shaped configuration having an enlarged end section of generally circular cross section, means defining a plurality of axially directed, circumferentially spaced arcuate recesses on the outer peripheral surface of said rotary piston to receive the end sections of said pivoted slide vanes.
