In an arrangement for detecting obstacles, particularly during the automatic closing of convertible tops, motor-vehicle windows or the like, a capacitive sensor device is provided, made up of an electrically conductive transmitter area on the one side and an electrically conductive sensor wire and at least one essentially potential-free metal area on the other side of an insulator, the transmitter area and the sensor wire being linked to an evaluation circuit.

System for detecting obstacles

In a measuring circuit for a capacitive sensor for distance measurement and/or space monitoring comprising sensor wire and shielding electrode, a sine signal is applied to the shielding electrode. The sensor wire is connected, via a shielded cable, with one input of an input amplifier which serves as current-voltage converter and whose supply voltage is likewise influenced by the sine signal. The output of the input amplifier is connected with one input of a phase-dependent rectifier arrangement, the sine signal is applied to the other input of the phase-dependent rectifier arrangement, and its output is connected to an analog-to-digital converter.

A parking device for a motor vehicle has a movement sensor, at least one distance sensor, a control unit, a unit for outputting driving directions, the control unit calculating circular segments for a possible drive path of the motor vehicle in parking space, so that the a unit for outputting driving directions output driving and steering directions optically or acoustically to a driver of the motor vehicle, the control unit being formed so that for a rearward parking the driving and steering directions are provided only for a partial path of a total parking path.
