Methods for allocating uplink resources between UEs wherein previously allocated uplink resources may be allocated to a further UE and a suspension indication transmitted to the UE to which the resources were previously allocated. The methods including transmitting an indication from a base station to a UE indicating grant of a set of resources for an uplink transmission, and transmitting a DCI including a suspension indication.

A method of wireless communication using half duplex frequency division duplex (HD-FDD) comprises, at a wireless communications device, receiving downlink data during a plurality of downlink subframes and transmitting a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) on an uplink. The HARQ-ACK relates to downlink data received during at least two of the plurality of downlink subframes and the HARQ-ACK is transmitted during one uplink subframe.

Systems and methods for frequency division duplex communication

Methods and apparatus for transmitting and receiving data over a physical channel using a polar code are provided. The polar code defines a plurality of virtual channels within the physical channel and allocates a subset of the virtual channels for the transmission of data. The method for transmitting data: receives a block of data to be transmitted; receives additional data to be transmitted together with the block of data; selects one or more of the virtual channels; determines a scrambling sequence based on the additional data; applies the scrambling sequence to those bits of the block of data to generate a scrambled version of the block of data; and transmits the scrambled version of the block of data according to the polar code.
