A system for treating livestock may include a ramp for containing dairy livestock and one or more mobile units configured to travel on the ramp, below the dairy livestock, and milk the dairy livestock. A mobile unit may be adapted to travel to a predefined location within a stall, and attach a milking equipment unit to the dairy livestock in the stall. A plurality of mobile units and a central management unit may be configured to dynamically cause at least some of the plurality of mobile units to each perform a portion of a treatment or task.

System and method for treating livestock

Disclosed is a system for treating dairy livestock having fore legs and hind legs, wherein the system comprises a milking parlor ramp, livestock stalls positioned along at least part of the milking parlor ramp, wherein each stall is configured to contain one dairy livestock, at least one vertical upright teat cup holder comprising teat cups and a mobile unit. The mobile unit comprises equipment for treating livestock and a processor, where the mobile unit is configured to travel between the fore legs and hind legs of the dairy livestock on the milking parlor ramp and use the equipment to perform at least one action related to a treatment of the dairy livestock. Also disclosed is that the equipment includes an arm configured to withdraw the teat cups from the vertical upright teat cup holder and connect them to the dairy livestock.

Mobile milking robot with minimal footprint

A suction-powered pool cleaning robot that may include a fluid outlet, adapted for connection to a suction hose; a fluid inlet, with a fluid path between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet; a turbine at least partially disposed within the fluid path so as to extract energy from flow of fluid through the fluid path; an electrical generator for providing power thereto and adapted to be driven by the turbine; a sensor arranged to generate rotation information indicative of a speed of rotation of the turbine; and an electronic controller that is arranged to control an operation of the suction-powered pool cleaning robot in response to at least the rotation information.

A pool cleaning robot for cleaning a surface of a swimming pool, said robot comprising: a main housing; main wheels being configured for propelling the robot; an auxiliary brushwheel disposed between said main wheels and configured for being rotated by the robot about an axis of rotation; and at least one inlet being formed in a bottom panel of the housing between said main wheels and being configured for intake of water and debris, wherein said main wheels are configured for being rotated by the robot at a first angular velocity, and said auxiliary brushwheel is configured for being rotated by the robot at a second angular velocity which is greater than the first angular velocity.

A pool cleaning robot for cleaning a surface of a swimming pool, said robot may include: a main housing; main wheels being configured for propelling the robot and for rotating at a first angular velocity; at least one auxiliary brushwheel disposed between said main wheels; and at least one inlet being formed in a bottom panel of the housing between said main wheels and being configured for intake of water and debris; wherein said robot is configured for rotating said auxiliary brushwheel about an axis of rotation at a second angular velocity which is substantially greater than the first angular velocity; wherein said second angular velocity is at least substantially twice that of the first angular velocity.

A pool cleaning robot is provided for cleaning a surface of a swimming pool. The robot comprises a main housing, a pair of main wheels disposed at opposite ends of a bottom panel of the housing spanning along a majority of its width and carrying a pair of continuous tracks spanning between edges thereof, the main wheels being configured for rotating at a first angular velocity, at least one inlet being formed in the bottom panel between the main wheels and being configured for intake of water and debris, and at least one auxiliary brushwheel disposed between the main wheels. The robot is configured for rotating the auxiliary brushwheel about an axis of rotation at a second angular velocity which is substantially greater than the first angular velocity.

A suction-powered pool cleaning robot is provided, including a fluid outlet, configured for connection to a suction hose, and a fluid inlet, with a fluid path therebetween, a turbine, which may be any suitable device is configured to extract energy, such as in the form of rotational motion, from a fluid flow, at least partially disposed within the fluid path so as to extract energy from flow of fluid therethrough, and an electrical control system configured to regulate at least some of the operations of the robot, the control system including an electrical generator for providing power to the control system and configured to be driven by the turbine, and an electronic controller configured for the regulation.
