The present invention discloses a novel EGFR inhibitor compound of formula (1), process for preparation thereof and methods of treating abnormal cell growth in mammals by administering the compounds of formula () wherein, R is selected from hydrogen, alkyl, nitro, halogens such as chlorine, bromine, fluorine and iodine; R=hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy, aryl, nitro, halogens such as chlorine, bromine, fluorine and iodine, trifluoromethyl, thioalkyl, trifluromethoxy, trialkylsilyl.
