The invention relates to an arrangement and method for heating gases in a gas circulation duct in connection with continuously operated sintering. In the sintering furnace, hot gas is fed in from above the belt in order to sinter the material located on the belt, and part of the gas circulation duct is formed as a burning zone, a burner ring, where the gas is heated. The burner ring comprises at least one burner unit directed inwardly from the circumference of the gas circulation duct.

Arrangement and method for heating gas in a gas duct in connection with continuously operated sintering

The invention relates to a device for supporting a conveyor belt used in the continuously operated thermal treatment, i.e. sintering, of a material bed. According to the invention, in the top part of the frame structure of the belt conveyor, there is installed at least one support element, whereby an essentially smooth slide surface can be obtained for the conveyor belt, and in the interior of the support element there is made a channel system in order to enable the flow-through of the intermediate agent fed into the support element.

The invention relates to a method for measuring the surface height of a material bed transported on a conveyor belt to continuously operated thermal treatment, i.e. to continuously operated sintering, when said material bed is formed of single spherical and fragile particles. Method for measuring the surface height of a material bed conducted on a conveyor belt to thermal treatment

A conveyor belt for a continuously operated conveyor-type thermal treatment of a material bed includes metal conveyor belt elements that are connected to each other. Each conveyor belt element is formed with perforations in order to allow gas to flow through the conveyor belt. The perforations are distributed non-uniformly over the conveyor belt element and are located in at least two perforation zones. The perforation zones are separated from each other by perforation-free zones.

Belt for the thermal treatment of a continuously operated material bed

The invention relates to a roller screen for screening pellets for sintering, the roller screen including several successive rotating rollers that are spaced apart and arranged transversally in relation to the proceeding direction of the material. The roller screen is provided with separate rotation motors for rotating each of the rollers and an adjusting member for adjusting the mutual position of the rollers in order to screen a desired particle size. The screen path of the roller screen is composed of three successive screening parts, which are mutually connected so that the rollers of the screening parts are made to rotate in relation to each other, and the speed of rotation of the roller increases in the proceeding direction of the material towards the final end of the roller screen.
