A compact rack construction is provided for mounting a pack of thermoplastic grocery or retail product bags of the T-shirt type and which includes a frame and a pair of generally horizontally and outwardly extending laterally-spaced support arms for receiving the apertures in the handles of the bags in the pack at an outer end portion and for mounting the bag pack on a horizontal portion for consecutive opening and removal of the bags from the bag pack and from the rack. Each of the support arms include an upper surface and a lower surface extending horizontally from the frame to define the horizontal portion of the support arms therebetween and then extending upwardly from horizontal at predetermined different angles and being joined at outer ends to each other by a loop surface formed with a smooth radius to define the support arm outer end portion therebetween. The upward extension of said lower surface is offset forward with respect to the upward extension of said upper surface. This construction allows mounting of the bag pack on the support arms over the outer end portion, while providing a resistance to free movement of the handles of the bags off the outer end portion of the support arms.

Nozzle for a plastic bag dispenser

A dispenser comprising an elongate rigid hollow cylindrical tube including opposed ends and a transverse elongate dispensing slot laterally therethrough at a midpoint along the length thererof. The dispensing slot includes opposed serrated edges with the teeth of each edge overlapping the teeth of the other edge to provide for restricted passage of film bags pulled outwardly through the dispensing slot from the interior of the tube. The opposed ends of the dispensing slot are enlarged and smooth-edged for access to interior bags and cooperation with the serrated edges in providing for projecting leading bag corners.

Tube dispenser for flexible sheet material

A dispensing nozzle for serially dispensing flexible plastic bags is disclosed, and which includes a generally circular plate and a depending tubular mounting sleeve. Two elongate zigzag slots of differing size extend through the plate, and a thread-up opening is positioned at each end of each slot. Each thread-up opening is of a size to permit the free end of the leading bag of a package of bags to be manually threaded therethrough and such that the bag may then be moved into the slot. The differing sizes of the two slots permits bags of differing size to be efficiently received in respective ones of the slots. When the bag is pulled upwardly from its associated slot, its movement is resisted by the zigzag configuration of the slot, and the resistance facilitates the severance of the pulled bag from an immediately following bag joined thereto along a severance line. The bags may be withdrawn in either lateral direction with equally effective results.

Dispensing nozzle for plastic bags

A dispensing nozzle comprising a plate overlying a bore defined through a countertop for the passage of bags therethrough from a subjacent storage position. The plate defines an elongate zig-zag slot for the restrictive movement of bags therethrough upon a manual pulling of a leading bag. Each manually pulled leading bag is automatically severed from a following bag secured thereto along a line of severance by slot-developed resistance. Introduction of the forwardmost bag of a bag package is facilitated by an enlarged opening laterally of one side of the slot and communicated with the slot through a relatively narrower neck portion. The nozzle may include a tubular sleeve receivable in the countertop bore, with the plate secured to or integrally formed with the sleeve across one end thereof.
