A reinforced conveyor belt has a plurality of fabric plies. One of the plies is an interwoven ply comprised of two layers of weft cords and a plurality of warp cords interweaving through the two layers of weft cords. Each warp cord has the following repeating weave pattern of passing over at least two but not more than five weft cords in the first weft layers, passing between the two weft layers for a distance of at least two weft cords, and passing under at least two but nor more than five weft cords in the second weft layer.

Reinforced belt for powerturn applications

Woven reinforcing fabrics for such conveyor belts characterized by an improved resistance to tearing in the longitudinal or travel direction. The woven reinforcing fabric includes a plurality of weft yarns and a plurality of warp yarns aligned substantially orthogonal to the plurality of weft yarns. The warp yarns are woven through the weft yarns to define a plurality of passages arranged in substantially parallel first and second planes. At least one of the weft yarns is positioned in each of the passages and two of the weft yarns are positioned in at least one of the passages in each of the first and second planes.

High tear interwoven belt fabric

The air spring of the present invention combines both traditional air spring characteristics and components with internal hydro damping. The air spring has an upper retainer, a piston, an elastomeric sleeve secured to the upper retainer at a first end and secured to the piston at the lower end, and a damping device. The damping device has an upper and a lower variable volume chamber and a channel connecting the two variable volume chambers, and a damping fluid contained within the damping device.

Hydro-damped air spring

A method for producing an airspring which reduces the time of manufacture by the vulcanization of the airsleeve in the absence of beads. After vulcanization of the sleeve, and end portion of the sleeve is wrapped about a bead ring and crimped within an annular rolled portion of at least one end member.

An elastomeric drive belt having cable reinforcement wherein lateral forces generated by the various layers of cables while the drive belt is in use are neutralized to prevent tracking problems.

Elastomeric drive belt

A tractor (12) and trailer (14) coupled together in tandem towing relationship is provided with an air deflector system (10) attached to the tractor (12) for aerodynamically reducing the drag on such combination by enclosing the space between the cab (12a) of the tractor (12) and the trailer (14). A support means (40) is attached to the frame (42) of the tractor (12). A top air fairing (16) is movably attached to the support means (40) for extending from the top of the cab to the top of the trailer. Two side fairings (18a,18b) are movably attached to the support means (40) for extending from the rear of the cab (12a) to the trailer (14), and wherein the side fairings mate with the top fairing. A means is provided for moving the fairings (16,18a,18b) from one position to another based upon the alignment between the trailer (14) and the tractor (12).

Air deflection system

A wear resistant elbow or bend for use in the pneumatic transport of abrasive materials which comprises an elastomeric liner (14) and a rigid outer shell (30). The elastomeric inner liner (14) has inlet and exit portions that are circular in cross section and connected to a segment that is a closed 'U' shape in cross-section. The top of the 'U' is the impingement surface (A) that is on the outside of the bend. The impingement surface (A) is essentially flat and on a plane or planes which are inclined so that the angle of incidence (.alpha.) is at least 35.degree., but not more than 65.degree. with reference to the axis of the inlet portion or the direction of the incoming flow of conveyed material (18).
