A metronome includes a body, a sensor coupled to the body and a controller in communication with the sensor. The sensor is configured to detect one or more strikes by a user of the metronome. The controller is configured to receive a first user input to select a tap tempo mode, detect via the sensor a strike by the user on the body of the metronome, determine a tempo based on a plurality of strikes by the user. The controller is further configured to detect modulation of how the strikes are made to the body of the metronome and automatically adjust the tempo based on the detected modulation of the strike.

Contact responsive metronome

A metronome including a sensor capable of detecting an event and a controller in communication with the sensor and which controls the metronomes response to the event. The controller may receive a signal from the sensor indicating an occurrence of the event, and the controller, in response, may generate a signal to adjust characteristics of the metronome in response to the event.

A method and system for scanning channels in a network for incoming audio transmissions. A device enters an intelligent scanning mode, which initiates an automatic scanning of predefined channels for incoming audio transmissions. Upon detection, the device tunes to the channel of the incoming audio transmission while continually searching channels of a higher priority for incoming audio transmissions of a higher priority. A device enters a single channel mode to send an outgoing transmission, which automatically reverts the device to the channel of the last incoming audio transmission.

Described is a system and method for configuring a computing device. The method comprises detecting a coupling of a computing device to a host device, receiving first configuration data from the computing device, displaying the first configuration data on a graphical user interface on a display of the host device, generating second configuration data as a function of at least one change to the first configuration data entered via the graphical user interface and inputting the second configuration data to the computing device so that the computing device replaces the first configuration data with the second configuration data.
