The present invention relates to composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of single phase crosslinked low Tmicrospheres and film-forming polyurethane particles. The composition of the present invention is useful as a basecoat layer for a multilayered leather article.

The present disclosure provides an adhesive composition. The adhesive composition contains (A) multi-stage latex polymer particles, (B) a linear diamine base, and (C) an ethoxylated surfactant. The (A) multi-stage latex polymer particles include (i) a first-stage polymer containing acrylic acid monomer and a first vinyl monomer, and (ii) a second-stage polymer containing a meth acrylic acid monomer and a second vinyl monomer, with the proviso that the second vinyl monomer is different than the meth acrylic acid monomer. The first-stage polymer is bound to the second-stage polymer.

Adhesive composition

The present disclosure provides an aqueous composition. The aqueous composition includes multi-stage latex polymer particles. The multi-stage latex polymer particles include (A) a first-stage polymer containing (i) an n-methylol functional monomer and (ii) a first vinyl monomer; and (B) a second-stage polymer containing (i) a formaldehyde-scavenging monomer and (ii) a second vinyl monomer. The first-stage polymer is bound to the second-stage polymer.

The present invention relates to a composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of polymeric composite microspheres comprising an aqueous dispersion of polymeric composite microspheres that comprise a polysiloxane and a polymer, as defined herein, and a suspension polymerization process for making the composition. The present invention relates to a paint composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of a) polymer particles having an average particle size in the range of from 80 nm to 500 nm; b) polymeric organic crosslinked microspheres having a particle size in the range of from 1 μm to 20 μm; c) polysiloxane particles having a particle size in the range of from 1 μm to 30 μm; d) a rheology modifier; e) an opacifying white pigment having a refractive index of >1.9; and f) less than 10 weight percent of a low Tpolyurethane. The composition of the present invention gives coatings with excellent burnish resistance.

The present invention relates to a pigmented matte coating composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of a) phosphorus acid functionalized polymer particles; b) TiOparticles; c) polymeric organic microspheres; and d) a rheology modifier. The composition of the present invention gives matte finish coatings having the stain and scrub resistant attributes similar to coatings formed from semi-gloss paint compositions.

The present invention relates to composition comprising an aqueous dispersion of microspheres and a class of a nonionic polyalkylene oxide of a distyryl or tristyryl phenol or an anionic polyalkylene oxide salt of a distyryl or tristyryl phenol and a process for preparing the composition. The microspheres have an average particle size in the range of from 1 &#x3bc;m to 25 &#x3bc;m, as well as a low coefficient of variation and low gel concentration; the composition is useful in coatings applications, especially where a matte finish is desired.
