An apparatus for coupling a work tool to an arm assembly of a machine includes a first plate and a second plate fixed to the work tool, the second plate being spaced apart from the first plate along a first direction. An external surface of the first plate defines a forward recess and an aft recess, and an external surface of the second plate defines a forward recess and an aft recess. A concavity of each of the forward recess of the first plate, the aft recess of the first plate, the forward recess of the second plate, and the aft recess of the second plate facing a second direction, the second direction being transverse to the first direction.

Apparatus and method for coupling a work tool to an arm assembly of a machine

An apparatus to couple the work tool to the arm assembly is disclosed. The arm assembly may have at least one arm. The work tool may have at least one recess. The apparatus may have at least one pin member adapted to engage with the at least one arm and the at least one recess. The at least one pin member may rotate in the at least one recess between a locked orientation and an unlocked orientation. The at least one pin member couples the work tool to the arm assembly in the locked orientation, and the work tool is separable from the arm assembly in the unlocked orientation.

Apparatus and method for coupling work tool to a machine

Machines and system for 3D printing are disclosed. One machine includes a machine frame having a plurality of ground engaging elements to facilitate movement of the machine frame, a telescoping boom pivotably coupled to the machine frame and configured to pivot along at least a horizontal plane, a material line coupled to the boom and configured to convey a material therethrough, a printhead coupled to the boom and in fluid communication with the material line to receive the material and to dispense the material, and a controller configured to receive 3D printing information and to convert the 3D printing information into positional coordinates of the printhead, wherein the controller is to cause movement of the boom to position the printhead based at least on the position coordinates.

Structural 3D printing machine

According to one exemplary aspect there is provided a work tool for attachment to a machine, comprising a supporting tool portion. The actuatable tool portion is pivotally connected to the supporting tool portion via a hinge construction. The hinge construction includes a hinge drive having an outgoing, rotatable shaft. The rotatable shaft has a single outgoing end that is configured to carry the actuatable tool portion. By providing the work tool with a hinge construction that includes a hinge drive with an rotatable shaft that carries the actuatable tool portion on a single outgoing end a directly driven hinge construction is obtained that is both compact and reliable. A hinge drive and method of operating a work tool for a machine are also disclosed.

Work tool for a machine

A swivel for use in a rotator is disclosed. The swivel includes an inner member having a cylindrical portion and an annular outer member arranged around the inner member and rotatably connected thereto via a bearing. At least one of the inner member and the outer member is provided with an annular fluid channel, one of the members having a fastening flange with an upper and a lower flange surface. The flange includes attachment structure configured to fix the flange to a support structure. A first fluid path extends through the flange from a first opening in a circumferential face of the fastening flange, to the fluid channel. A second fluid path at least partially extends through the inner member in a substantially axial direction from the fluid channel to a second opening.
