A circuit board module includes a circuit board defining a top side, a bottom side and holes extending through the circuit board between the top and bottom sides. The module further includes a component mounted to a portion of the circuit board, and an EMI shield assembly configured to provide EMI shielding on the circuit board. The EMI shield assembly includes a top shield and a bottom shield. The top and bottom shields are configured to substantially enclose the portion of the circuit board and the component to provide EMI shielding when (i) contacts of the top shield insert into the holes defined by the circuit board in a first direction from the top side toward the bottom side, and (ii) contacts of the bottom shield simultaneously insert into the same holes defined by the circuit board in a second direction from the bottom side toward the top side.

EMI shielding techniques using multiple EMI shields which share the same circuit board holes

A surface mountable and low profile electrical component which can be electrically coupled to the solder side of a PCB, while other electrical components are mounted to a component side of the PCB. The surface mountable electrical component includes a mounting substrate having a diode or LED chip with electrical terminals. The terminals pass through the mounting substrate to be electrically coupled to first and second electrical contacts, which provide an electrical pathway between the terminals and the PCB.

A shelf assembly and system, which reduces the potential for accidental disruption of service or damage to neighboring transmission elements in a telecommunications network. The present invention operates to guide the transmission elements or fiber cables to and/or from a mounting position, and in or out from either side of electrical and/or optical telecommunications equipment. Fiber cables coupled at the mounting positions can be directed through reversible and removable fiber channels. Each fiber channel has a smooth surface and a radius of curvature, which provides an appropriate bend radius for guiding, routing, or bending the fiber cables into a fiber trough.

A system and method for converting the numerous quantities, types, and arrangements of plug-in card connectors, usually disposed on the backplane of equipment systems, to an orderly and standardized array of external connectors. The external connectors facilitate the electrical connection between the cards and one of a variety of specific external cable connectors.

Interchangeable backplane interface connection panel

A mechanism on which cables, wires, and leads may be secured.The mechanism includes a bar assembly, which has a hollow member in telescopic engagement with an insertable member. Preferably, the insertable member slides in and out of the hollow member, so that a dimension of the bar can be varied. The bar assembly of the present invention also includes telescopically engaged end members, one at each end of the mechanism. A length of the end members can be varied, such that the depth of the mechanism may be varied.
