A kneading paddle extraction device for removing the kneading paddle from a loaf of bread made by an automatic bread making machine, while minimizing damage to the loaf, is provided. A kneading paddle containing a substantially central aperture for receiving a motor shaft is grasped by one or more rods, each rod having a hook which is inserted through the aperture, with the preferred embodiment additionally utilizing a sliding wedge for grasping the kneading paddle.

Kneading paddle extraction device

A fabric tensioning mechanism for pulling taut a flexible material arranged in a support frame, which frame is controllably movable in X-Y directions in a sewing machine setup. The fabric tensioning device is particularly useful to tension flimsy materials. A tensioning mechanism comprises several pivotable clamps arranged opposed one another across the support frame. The clamps are pivotable on the frame, and at least one clamp is movable with respect to the frame toward and away from its opposing clamp a regulatable distance to effect regulatable tension within any material pulled therebetween.

Fabric tensioning device

A mechanism is provided for holding and securing a workpiece within a sewing machine. The mechanism includes a plurality of clamping elements which may be arranged in different configurations so as to accommodate different sewing patterns. The different arrangements of clamping elements are inserted into a carriage which defines the positions of the clamping elements relative to each other as well as with respect to the bed of the sewing machine.
